Fabulous instruction, GFOnyx.... what brought me here is that you've succeeded on an HP Pavillion. I'm trying to install OSX as a dual boot w/Win7 on my HP dv9620us (AMD Turion 64 X2 TL-58, 4G ram, dual 120G SATA drives but no AHCI management on bios!). My current obstacle: I boot from the install DVD, and get the installation screen, but Disk Utility doesn't see my disks (no less partitions) at all -- only the back up external drive plugged in via USB. Any suggestions? THANKS

Hi there, I have just brought a HP Pavilion dv6-2105ea. I was wondering if it is possible for me to install snow leopard onto it. I have tried and failed with a hackingtosh x86 disk which I downloaded. Cheers in advance!!! :)
Sir, any ideas why I always, always get an No driver for platform for ACPI error for retail installations? I followed your guide to the dot but I still get that. If I use a distro, it doesn't really help though because I get KP :|
i have a older pc an hp pavilion dv2000 entertainment edition that has amd turion x2 and is 32 bit will this work with it because i wouldnt mind trying it it and i heard that there is OS X 10.6.5 that was just released will i be able to get the updated version if my pc can run it?
im running a HP G62 -106sa, im going to hope there isnt much dif between your pavilion to my g62, ive been trying to find details on a decent distro for ages, but none seem to specifically support my laptop, so ill give the link to your guide a go, and hope for the best, if you know im wasting my time let me know :D
My guide is old which means there are easier ways out there for a retail installation as is the one on my guide. For example you can use the Boot132 method by which you do not need anymore to have an installation of Leopard first in order to make Snow Leopard work and

Hello I have a hp pavilion dv6000, and I have the snow leopard 10.6.2 mac in, did the update and all went well, I download the audio azalia a the list of things that do not work wireless network (download the driver but I do not know how drivers are installed on mac, try copying the driver to install the library extensions folder of the disc but nothing happens, and leaves that you can not). NOR DOES THE MICROPHONE AUDIO OUT (to connect the headphones) not working SD CARD SLOT,
@GFOnyx lol, I have actually been looking for someone who could do it correctly and not by a fake clone of osx! and thank you! and thanks for doing it on the pavillian dv9000 series, I have the same laptop, and I miss my giant screen, but i like mac too much to go back to windows for daily use(not that i don't use it every other day) but the spec's on mac and HP's match in quite a few places, so I guess it makes it more possible. plus HP bios are mac readable. great job! but can you explain how?
How'd you get this to work well? I have an HP Pavilion dv6500 (Limited White Edition) w/an IntelCore2Duo 1.5ghz, 2GB RAM, Intel GMA9500 graphics, and 250GB HD. I already have iDeneb 10.5.8 Leopard installed but the webcam doesn't operate totally and neither does trackpad (works, but no settings options). Could you help on how you did it on your notebook?
great job, what u have done is great, i'm really interested in the kexts u r using. i'm facing some problems tuning my hackintosh, ur help is really appreciated :)
I have currently installed v10.5.8 on my AMD Phenom 9600, 4gb ram, and Ati Radeon HD4850 1gb. Everything is working great except the webcam and rarely has a kernel crash. Would this distribution work for me?
please send me a link to the guide you used, if it is the guide in the description please tell me so. Otherwise i am begging you to send me a link to the guide you used. Please.
During the install, you have to go to the top menu and use disk utility to change your hard drive type by choosing your internal hard drive>partition>options>GUID. Afterward, it should have no problem installing on your drive.
that is cool what is the hardware specs on your machine? i have a dv9000 but it runs an amd chip not sure if it would work. right now dualbooting ubuntu and windows 7
They are not the best.you pay 1500$ for hardware that costs 500$.Simply put they are made from common average parts and they have you think they are something extraordinary. For instance the screen on the new Imac is just an LG model.
May I ask what model HP that is, and if i wanted to do the same thing, is xp the way to go, do you have a list of the best laptops they work on or will any good laptop due as long as you follow your guide? thanks in advance.
Not sure what you mean by "XP is the way to go".As i say in my guide you must have Leopard installed first and then within leopard you install Snow Leopard. However even if my guide is universal you must have some compatible hardware.
Did have a problem getting the drivers to work because I heard that the WiFi drivers and the sound drivers don't work at first. How did you fix that problem?
Hey!! thanks a lot for you Video....i would like to know if you need the ahcpi modus?i tried to installed snow leopard on my HP Pavilion g7 but it doesn`t boot.

Hay Man, Is your IR remote working on snow leopard? I've seen you use it with leopard on your other video.
I have the same laptop running 10.6.4 now.I've been using os x since 10.5.2 and still couldn't get the remote working.
Everything else works flawlessly though.

Can this be done on a Dell XPS 420 (desktop) with an Intel Q6600 processor and 4 GB of DDR2 RAM? I can provide other details if necessary.
I know someone who was able to do this on their slightly older Dell desktop, but he doesn't have time to explain and install it on mine.
The guide only explains how to do this from an earlier installation, but I need to know how to get Leopard first. How do I do that?
Thanks in advance!

After like 3 seconds of googling, your computer is compatible with Kalyway 10.5.2.
Find out what type of ethernet input or card you have. Download the kext (driver) for it and put it on a flash drive
Download "Kext Helper B7"
Download "kalyway 10.5.2" (that patched version of Mac)
Burn the iso.
Run installationg

During the install, you have to go to the top menu and use disk utility to change your hard drive type by choosing your internal hard drive>partition>options>GUID. Afterward, it should have no problem installing on your drive.

videogamegod88 2 years ago
I agree that they're overpriced, but when you want the best you have to pay for the best.
Andybadtothebone 2 years ago
They are not the best.you pay 1500$ for hardware that costs 500$.Simply put they are made from common average parts and they have you think they are something extraordinary. For instance the screen on the new Imac is just an LG model.
Again, nothing special.

May I ask what model HP that is, and if i wanted to do the same thing, is xp the way to go, do you have a list of the best laptops they work on or will any good laptop due as long as you follow your guide? thanks in advance.
Escalade714 2 years ago
Not sure what you mean by "XP is the way to go".As i say in my guide you must have Leopard installed first and then within leopard you install Snow Leopard. However even if my guide is universal you must have some compatible hardware.
