I spent half a year in Bratislava in 2006 and that is one the best period of my life - I practically consider it as my second town (along with my birthtown, of course : ). I don't know that story about "hostel" but for those who never had chance to visit Bratislava - it's beaitiful ... In many ways : ) Majte sa dobre !!!

by the way I'm Romanian, and in fact I found smth interesting concerning 1968 on youtube(Ceausescu-Cehoslovacia­)although a dictator-he refused to send troops there, he said: a free country will NEVER attack or involve in political life of another country!
