I watched this for some advice on using the bpm counters, because it appears they only work when they feel like it, and even then they get it wrong. "I covered the bpm counters with stickers, 'cos I don't know how they work". ¬¬  Not impressed.

@heshamaz09 you can get a crack of vdj its good software and if you get pro and a adapter from walmart from 3.5 to rvc you can run 1 deck in the software and i on the mixer and match it up running the audio through the mixer

i've been using this mixer with virtual DJ for 6 months now and have not had any issues until now. For some reason (which I cannot figure out) when a track is playing on the right deck, you can hear it through the left channel. I have the sound options set to right deck/right channel and left deck/left channel. The fader on the mixer is set to the left channel yet I can faintly hear audio coming from the right deck. Any thoughts?

I have this mixer and i havnt had any channel problems .but there are some stupid things about it the bpm counters can go beats out and the crossfader curve has to be perfect to do a good mix. if ur goin to get some equipment dnt get this mixer.i have two ddx4500 this mixer nd im savin up for a numark 5000fx. o nd two cd decks

i shoul do some reviews on my own decks later on

you need a usb soundcard of some sort....

for example in serato scratch live it has a unit to connect the mixer to the computer

can you do it on your laptop ?? or need you then a different soundcard or something

if you are going to use only your laptop with Fx. Virtual DJ you need an external soundcard..

i would recomend. that you used both. a mixer + soundcard. the other way is very hard to do. when you need to pitch or fade.
