I would take either car, if I ever had the opportunity. Both are amazing in their own right. Also, I see all of the comments about engine and horsepower/torque comparisons. There are a lot of other factors that go into the performance of these cars. Aerodynamics (the bodies aren't just designed to look good), suspension, tires, etc. also play a part.

The two editors Pat Hong and Mike Monticello both preferred the 458 Italia. In lateral acceleration the Lambo had 0.99g while the 458 had 1.0g. And btw it took the boys in Sant'Agata 7 years to make a car that matched the Enzo in performance. You're such a fanboy. If you've ever been behind the wheel of either car, you'd have respect for both.

I think the lp570-4 is the same motor just a little more horsepower. Once out of 1st gear, it's quicker than a lambo. Both are great cars but they excel in different situations. Having said all that, I would take the LP 560-4 because a V10 sounds cooler and I don't care if it's slightly slower than the Italia.

I have been waiting for the 458 to grow on me, but i dont think it ever will. The 458 is ugly as sin! There is no way i would take a ferrari over a 560-4. The lambo looks much better. @Goontrader2 ......You are entitled to your opinion regarding looks and personal preference but when regarding performance the Lambo is second to the Ferrari. A good example is on Top Gears test track. Lambo did it in 1:19.5 and the Ferrari in 1:19.1.

Also consider that the Lp-670-SV "the benchmark Lambo" could only match the time of the Enzo. A car that came out 8 years ago. Both posted a time of 1:19. Personal opinion can vary. But the numbers dont lie.

@leviafat You're right it is always better to shift up and down by yourself but if you use the Launch Control button, the Ferrari switch in automatic and then, you just have to push the brake and accelerate around 3000 rpm at the same time and then, when you release the brake pedal, the car does the best possible start..

I know there was no LC on american's 430 but I think he got this option on his 458 now !
