I firmly believe that there is a code to be cracked within the Residents. Something to unlock who they really are. I believe that Homer is the main composer/singer/eyeball, and snake may not be dead, but they carry on that he is dead, to blend him in with the rest of them. I'm a huge Residents fan, and I'm determined to figure all this out....

Essentially yes, they are just a bunch of random avantgarde musicians, however they don't use their anonymous image to help get attention, they simply use it because they believe that music should be about the music, not about the performer. It shouldn't matter if they're male, female, black, white, young, old or anything, hence why they keep their images hidden.

What would she be doing? Not appearing in photographs, singing or performing on stage, that's fer shure. Nor is she giving interviews under the guise of "The Cryptic Corporation".

The rumours that there were women involved were heavy in 1986, when some people got the wrong impression - there were four Residents eyeballs on stage, but two of them were worn by hired female dancers who were credited by name in the tour programme and who didn't sing or play during the concert. Not The Residents!

The Residents are Homer Flynn and Hardy Fox. I met Hardy Fox in 2002 on the Demons Dance Alone tour, he was greeting people outside before the show. I recognized his shoes when he was in costume onstage :)... and if you have any doubts if the singing Rez is Homer, watch "Cry For the Fire".
