what if someone there doesnt find a connection to others and doesnt care about the history of the school but just wants to go to school and learn what they have to and leave would you recommend them to transfer to another school?

@scribbless1986 not at all, Howard is great in that non judgmental way in which you get to be who you are with youthful abandonment. We embrace everyone for whatever reason because in the end, its still a great school

Howard University is trash. The students are trouble makers to the surrounding community and spend more time throwing parties, drinking and smoking pot than they do studying. Really get a look at the school for yourself and don't be impressed with the videos and other propaganda that you see. Walk the halls that have cracked windows, broken doors and paint chipping off the walls...

I am transferring in Fall 2011 and I am to DAMN PROUD!! this is my 3rd year at my college I am at now and it is a Little late but I am Happy to know that I belong at this School! I found my school, and the Great thing is I come in as a second semester sophomore cause alot of my credits dont change, But It is a Risk I am taking because I know where I belong and nothing can over power the feeling of your being Complete!

This was a great video that shed a positively accurate light on Howard University. This was taped during my senior year, and I miss the Mecca so much already. I now attend graduate school at the University of Pennsylvania, and I don't know where I'd be had I not been a product of an HBCU, specifically Howard. HBCUs will forever be necessity to the Black community.
