  • i bought some very bright yellow "red heart" string .I didnt know anything about crocheting but i was soo eager to start that i tried pulling the end of sting out from the center but as i was pulling it started to get harder and harder till i couldnt pull anymore i found a knot untied it and kept pulling then my friend came over cause it kept happening and she said that i wasnt suppose to have pulled from the center but in this it says you should and now its all messy and i dont know wat to do

  • @TheEquestrianForever If it's red Heart like I show. Look at the label closely. on one end there is an arrow with a 1(usually on the left when reading the label) and on the other end there is an arrow with a 2(usually on the right). pull the tail out from the left side first. That is the outer end. wrap it around the skein and tuck it under the label. The pull from the center on the right and that should be your working yarn. If you missed step 1, then you will have a knotted mess.

  • What does chunky yarn look like?

  • @nadaibrahim77 Chunky can look different. some is fuzzy some is smooth. It's just thicker than the medium weigh yarns.

  • Just out of curiosity, what happens if you use a smaller hook than recommended on the yarn label?

  • @yoitzo If you use a smaller hook, you end up with a stiff fabric. Smaller hooks are used when making belts & baskets, and purses.

  • @Bethintx1 Oh i see! Thanks for the quick response!

  • @Bethintx1 So, bigger hooks would make things a bit more flimsy?

  • @CourierOfDreams I would say more drapey. looser. "Flimsy" sounds as if it would fall apart, not necessarily so!

  • How to put that box(in 0:53 ) in a video? Pls help!

  • @GarudaMoYe2010 You have to go to annotations. Most of my videos are set so that only I can make annotations.

  • what does the triangle symbol mean?

  • @zynation The triangle means you can iron it. The triangle with an X over it means do not iron.

  • This video series is exactly what I've been looking for! I've tried to teach myself to crochet several times over the past couple of years but to no avail. Thank you so much!

  • this is an amazing video!

  • This is such a big help, Thank you so very much!

  • I did not know any of this, I felt so lost at the craft store yesterday. THANK YOU SO SO SO SO MUCH!!

  • thanks this helped :D
