  • looks great. i made a larger version for my 300l pond.

  • how does the water enter the filter?

  • A submersible magnetic pump is put inside the pond. This pump is put inside a plastic bread box with holes on the top cover. I have put green scrub pads to cover the holes. This whole unit acts as a prefilter. Water is pumped by the pump through a hose which is connected to the down flow pipe of the filter. You can see this box in the video plus the hose to the pipe.

  • @RSKARIA how much does the submersable pump cost?

  • love your food, i live with a one

  • do u think an aquarium filter will work? my pond is really mucky.

  • The amount of muck in a pond is too high for normal aquarium filter to work. Some designs like Skippy filter, Barrel filter, sump filter etc will work and make the pond clear. But prefilter will have to be cleaned regularly

  • thanks. i am going to put a lot of plants in to filter the water and i might buy a pond filter.

  • @N8mont4 - well the Carps and the Goldies dug up/ ate all the plants- so this pond is now a Plant less pond

  • looks like skippy design filter.
