  • The great Oz was brilliant in a more subtle way than the people of OZ wanted him to be, so he became that image. Upon being discovered human, he, rather quickly, resumed his role of making Dorothy's companions realize they were trying to find something they already had. Brains, courage and empathy seem to be far easier to explain than home. While the land of Oz felt familiar, Dorothy recognized her companions as mere shadows compared to her family back home. She desired to be with them.

  • Hjiiakiaj kqulukikquaiiiiioiijlpord z

  • the wizard looks like his botox appointment didn't go well

  • If I ony had a heahhhhhhhhhht!

  • people stop quoting this part in comments... come onn

  • Lesson learned. Everyone has these traits within them.

  • And here's some dreams that will come true.

  • NWO Banksters !!! Just like this wizard guy

  • two people don't have a brain, courage, or a heart.

  • @IamNathanNelson or a home☺lol

  • Back where I come from we have universities, seats of great learning, where men go to become great thinkers. And when they come out, they are in massive debt and spend years paying off student loans... and with no more brains than you have!

  • @evilphil

    i lol'd xD

  • In the real book... Scarecrow got a real brain, Lion got a magical drink for courage and tinman got a wierd heart... but scarecrow got a real brain... :/

  • Hm, the scarecrow switches place... Scary.

  • he got the Pythagorean theory wrong

  • @DuckHunt20 To quote Marvin Suggs, "Who care?"

  • @Indego84 yeah, its not a big deal...to quote indego85 "To quote Marvin Suggs, 'Who care?'"

    lol

  • the scarecrow messed up the Pythagorean theorem...

  • "I laugh at death, sneer at doom, and chuckle at catastrophe."

  • :)

  • Your a very bad geezer er no my dear im a very good geezer im just a very bad wizard. That part is hilarious.

  • Wait.... As seen on StripersOnline?

  • "A heart is not judged by how much you love, but by how much you are loved by others" that's it.

  • @lostlakpaul This is what im afraid of. So it means the reason that girl left me its because...im not good enough.

  • This part makes me cry. this is, and will always be my favourite film, EVER!

  • Scarecrow: The sum of the square roots of any 2 sides of an isocoles triangle is equal to the square root of the remaining side.

That's actually INCORRECT. That's the equation for a RIGHT triangle. The equation being incorrect was an inside joke.

  • This doesn't make sense for any triangle, including right triangles.

  • @pytko3 I love it when ppl get the inside jokes like that. Lol. Good catch! :)

  • "The sum of the square roots of any two sides of an isosceles triangle is equal to the square root of the remaining side".

  • look at and pause at 0:54 Sit at us O....who is O?

  • at 25-28 he points to his eye! Seats of great learning! The all seeing eye of the e pluribus unum on american money! Why is it Latin & not english! Why does the lion get a rosy cross and tin man get a ticking time bomb clock and scare crow doesn't show his certificate! Another strange load of crap people refuse to see

  • notice at 1:00 he says, oh joy, rapture, i've got a brain! he realizes the illuminati run by the powerful oz is an idiot who he didn't need after all! What was the incryption code he gave all about? It's the answe to the end of the world!!

  • I love that line :) I was considering that as one of my next tattoos! The wizard of oz is my favorite movie of all time <3

  • I agree with Francitaxi!

  • I think the best line in the entire film is, "A heart is not judged by how much you love, but by how much you are loved by others." It's very true, you know.

  • @francistaxi That's My Favorite line in the movie :3 <3

  • The staggering trick in this scene is that just when everybody thinks that the problems are solved, every player gets what (s)he wants, their pure original feelings and qualities have been totally looted. They get what are the societally accepted substitutes for their walues, they are degraded to 'normality', ordinariness.

  • @Unbihexium I disagree What they found is that they had these qualities all along,But like a lot of people, needed to have someone point it out to them.

  • @Nickcat5 Well, my friend, I think my interpretation doesn't cancel yours and vica versa. By the way as a Zizek fan I'd like to draw your attention to the very ironic aspect of the scene, which is full of sentences like "they have no more brains that you have" try to imagine from the other way around what it really means (the magisters have only straw in their head!), so the wole thing is not ONLY about the dear little guys but also about the others which are watching the movie... tobecontinued

  • @Nickcat5 And the sad thing I have talked about is that just at the point when they ACCEPT what society gives AS substitutes for their values they are loosing these. What I mean is that they barter their deeper, real hearts, minds, etc for diplomas, clocks and other very profane THINGS, which are only signs of the real virtues! So the whole fairy tale is "turned upside down" unperceivably for most of the watchers.

  • @Nickcat5 What you have been talking about is the primary (public, "hollywood logic", "for the people's minds") meaning of the film, which is obvious, I know. :-)

Anyway, please forgive me for "teaching", personally I am not so important, but what I'm saying is a posible interpretation.

  • @Unbihexium You're missing a few crayons out of your box,aren't you?

  • @Nickcat5 Which ones do you mean? :-) Never mind, I"m not sure if I come back here. You can have the last words which would be:

  • @Unbihexium ....Don't let the Woodpeckers get you!!

  • My favorite part in cinema history :) haha

  • I've got a brain! How can I ever thank you enough?

    Well...you can't!

    Ha ha ha...

  • listen to what the scarecrow says when he gets his brain, it makes NO sense! 0:55

  • @Pokerplayer1045 actually, in his defense, it does. a squared + b squared = c squared.

  • @ThePhychoHero yea, but he didnt say that at all

  • @Pokerplayer1045 Let's agree to disagree.

  • @ThePhychoHero Think about it, "the sum of the squareroots of any two sides of an isosceles triangle is equal to the square of the remaining side" That makes zero sense. I think he meant to say, "the sum of the squares of the lengths of sides of a right triangle is equal to the squareroot of the hypothesis"

  • @Pokerplayer1045 Huh, I must have misheard it. My apologies.

  • @ThePhychoHero No worries.

  • one of the best lines in the entire film:

"hearts will never be practical until they can be made unbreakable"

  • Your a Humbug,ha.

  • It's the pathargorean theroem I learned about it today and my teacher said about how the scarecrow blurts it out :) a^2 + b^2 = c^2 :)))

  • I'd say the wizard weasled his way out of that pretty well

  • This movie was about the dangerous FEDERAL RESERVE BANK......

  • You know what? This movie will never lose it's magic. I saw it the first time when I was a little kid. Now I'm 20, and it's still just as good!

  • @anton1990 I saw it first time back in 1951 and its still a real freak show after 60 years.

These days we have "Queen OZ" hiding behind a curtain in charge of a Potemkin "Emerald City"

known as "Homeland Security". If somebody told any of us back then that this U.S. Republic

would EVER turn into what it is now we'd have rolled on the floor lol.

(BTW just 1 freaky thing is the chubby guy who played the "lion", Bert Lahr, was having a torrid

love affair with Bette Davis at the time)

  • shadrack

  • I heard somewhere online they knew Scarecrow's little mathematical genius was wrong....but they actor couldn't say it correctly, so they left it as is cause it was close enough. If that's true, I thinks it's pretty funny, but either way, I can't process math enough to tell if it's wrong anyway. :P

  • He was trying to say, A^2 + B^2 =C^2

  • Brains, courage and Heart and teletransportation 0:11

  • @camilosae OMG! Dorothy was an alien, lol!

  • A heart is not judged by how much you love, but by how much you are loved by others. You are loved Manda by your father, forever

  • I just can't take it anymore ----I must stand so tall with my long thing here --thanks oz

  • lol i love how the scarecrow says the pathagorean therom wrong. it's not the square root of two sides, you square both sides and the triangle doesn't have to be isosolece hahahaha.

  • Universitatus Commitiatum E Pluribus Unum

  • universatatis commitiatum e pluerubus umun

thumbs up if you can pronounce it.

  • Wizard of Oz: And remember my sentimental friend; a heart is not judged by how much you love, but how much you are loved by others<3

    ^ Love this!

This film brings back memories, and i still love it today, and im 14;D

  • this clip should help me with my lines

  • BEAUTIFUL FILM, I HAVE WATCHED IT EVERY TIME ITS SHOWN ON TV, ITS A SWEET AND LOVABLE FILM, JUST LIKE ITS CHARACTERS, THUMBS UP FOR THE WONDERFUL WIZARD OF OZ, xxxxxxxx

  • the scarecrow gets a brain, but does not know the pythagorean theorem! He should say, "right triangle", not 'isosceles triangle".

  • @heatherleehart Not only should he say Right triangle, but it's the sum of the squares of the legs, equals the square of the longest side. It's not the square roots. I can't believe such an error.

  • I used to watch it as a little kid but I never realized how fucked up this ending really is ha

  • shucks folks im speechless....lol :)

  • hahahaa

  • pusillanimous .... Love this scene!

  • tubemusicdownload com to get this song
