  • im so inlove with her songs ayt now

  • This whole song finally makes sense to me

  • I was just thinking I should turn a light on! Got the xmas tree on, but it gets really dark @4:00pm now! lol

  • This song has two parts, first the "let's go to the movies"-part and then the loveology-part. Feels like two different songs sung back-to-back.

  • Why isn't this on iTunes? ;_;

  • one of the best songs ever written in my humble opinion

  • @Appelsappel That opinion is not humble at all. That is a very bold, presumptuous assumption.

  • i love the feeling i get when she sings "yooou are, yooou are are yoou are." amazing song :]

  • spektacular ;)

  • To my incurable humanist.

  • Topology :D

  • Regina is a wonderful lyricist. No doubt about that.

  • esta mina es increible.

  • I made a page for her on Facebook, "like" please:

    I Love Regina

  • This gives me chills. It's really true.

  • Is there a studio version of this song that someone can send me PLEASE? I love this version but i need better sound... love this song

  • i love how at the beginning you can hear people laughing and talking and at the end people clapping. Its like she's performing this for a group of people. lucky them

  • @TheArtAussie that's because she IS performing..this is a recording from a performance.

  • The begining gives me chills! X3

  • HIT MY THUMBS UP BUTTON IF YOU LIKE THIS SONG! HIT THE REPLAY BUTTON TO PROVE IT!

  • That awkward moment when you clap before the song's finished...

  • 8 people should be sorryology

  • @321lauren1234

    One of them were ;)

  • @321lauren1234 Interesting that in the 2 months since you posted that comment, the dislikes have actually gone down to 7. :o

  • @321lauren1234 Let´s forgivethemology ;)

  • sei lá essa música, SEI LÁ :3

  • Would kill for her to be my teacher.

  • regina-ology ^^

  • where can i find a studio version of this song?

  • @auroral where can i find regina!?

  • @drew20042004 regenius

  • regina. genius.

  • Forgiveness - something not taught in school.

  • regina spektor has changed my life and i owe her so very much.

    thankyou<3

  • I've listened to this song a hundred times but this time when she started to sing 'forgive me' I just started to cry. This is a wonderful song.

  • @alephbetgimmel Yeah, I remember thinking that when I read it too. My friend said you need to multiply them in base 13, not base 10.

Also, it was never confirmed if the computer came up with the right question for the answer.

  • This is an apology

  • I find myself starign at her and begging her with my heart and soul to teach me how she can be this way.

Only through God can a woman like this exist/

  • @appleh26 Fool. Regina Spektor is God.

  • What recording is this? It sounds clear enough.

  • This song is definitely one of her strongest ones. I'm in tears.

  • "Forgive me, forgive me, forgive me-ology..."

That part gives me goosebumps. <3

  • I have searching desperately for this song, but I can't find it anywhere!! :(

  • Homework: 1000 "I love you"s

Extra Credit: Kiss someone nice or lick a rock, or both.

  • I'm pretty sure I've comment before.

    I don't care.

Second half of the song just makes me want to hug someone it's so powerful. <3

  • Love Love Love Love Love Love <3

  • okay so a lot of artists have a few mainstream songs that are good, and their other stuff just kinda starts to blend together. I just started listening to Regina Spektor and honestly haven't heard a SINGLE song that im not completely in love with. I've never heard anyone like her. loveology indeed :D

  • This is perfect.

  • thumbs up if you love regina's soft but powerful, emotional but rational, timid but loud, sweet but loverly, AMAZING voice <3

  • i think the idea is that she wants to teach her class or she wishes she could teach them about "love" and break ups to avoid them being hurt in the future but she can't because how do you teach someone about love - soooo wonderful x x x x

  • @JenalagoonProduction I love pop and electronica/house music. Loud, high energy, bass heavy music. Mainstream, bubbly, mildly original music. But Regina is one of the greatest artists to ever to record music. She is my second favorite artist. A rank that has been left unchanged since I first heard her. Why does it take such an acquired taste? The only reasons I've heard of people not liking her is her voice, or they simply haven't heard her. I am not criticizing your comment, just clarifying.

  • Where I can I study Porcupineology? :)

  • @comiclover788998 Isn't porcupineology a reference to her song maryann? ...or however you spell that name.

  • What album is this song from? I'm dying to know!

  • @MaggleMobile It hasn't been officially released yet.

She has quite a few yet to be released, if they ever will be.

  • @MaggleMobile I don't think the song was ever put on one of her "mainstream produced" albums. It's a shame really...

  • I know some people who if this was played for them would have stopped listening after the second verse. They just don't get it. Getting to know her is like someone who has bad eyesight putting on glasses for the first time, and marveling how leaves really look on trees, detailed and not just blurs of green, red or orange. Things just start to come into focus again. And then you wonder how you ever managed without her. Her creativity seems endless. I am hooked.

  • I think this is my favorite regina song. I love this so much, I just caught myself singing this yesterday, all day long during class..."Loveology, loveology, I'm sorryology, forgiveology,..." Its addicting! Regina, I'm sure you'd be a wonderful teacher!

  • UGH im supposed to be doing my hw! WHY regina! YOUR MUSIC IS SO GOOD I CANT STOP LISTENING

  • Comment removed

  • If I were there when she was singing live and I heard someone clap at the wrong time I would just stare him or her down.

  • @LIKEaYOUNGromance woahhh you're sooo tough *heavy sarcasm* haha xD

  • This song makes me cry<3<3<3

  • This is so beautiful! <333

  • There's something nice about the way this song was recorded. It's really.. Nice? I can't explain it. But i think i'd prefer it over a studio version.

  • What gives...is this the best available version of this song? Sounds like it was recorded through a tin can underwater. I love, love, love R.S., but I wouldn't recommend this recording. Probably neither would she.

  • it will be the best day of my life if she decides to make a studio version of this song, or performs it live.

  • One of the more beautiful song i ever heard since a long time. Thanks Regina.

  • this song is amazing <333!

  • Spektorology.

  • I found this by accident. Completely by accident. My friend wrote a story, and she said she used this song as inspiration so I decided to check it out...

Totally not my style. I'm a girl who listens to rock, and even metal. Every once in a while, the piano but...

I'm amazed by this singer. Completely and totally and WHY have I only now found her? It's amazing. <3

  • @PerverseRequiem I'm so happy for you! :)

  • Which performance of this song is this? She's not recorded this on an album, but has performed it several times. I love this song.

  • @woshamboo You shouldn't cut yourself at all</3

  • @woshamboo First -- speaking as someone who used to cut -- that's disgraceful. How do you think Regina would feel as an artist and a person if she knew this? Second, I haven't cut in over a year and almost never think about it anymore -- all you have to do is stop. It does no good. All you're doing is channeling the pain back into yourself.

    Regina loves you.

  • @iTubeQQQQQ unfortunately i have a friend with a very sick sense of humour who knows all about my love for Regina Spektor, and decided to troll me.... no way would i even dream about doing that to such a lovely lady, its mere impossibly for me to feel anything other than euphoric listening to this womans voice and talent! sorry again, thanks for the support though haha xxx

  • bella!

  • These are my favourite lyrics of any song :')

  • "I'm sorry-ology" is something everyone has to learn/do: an apology :)

  • She's amazing. This song is amazing. I have no words, I just love her!

  • A new Tori Amos!

  • This is honestly one of the most gorgeous songs I've ever heard. There's just a simplicity and yearning. Gives me shivers every single time I listen to it. "Loveology, I'm Sorry-ology, Forgive me-ology." I could have used those lessons quite a few times. Need to learn how to say "forgive me."

  • I love love love this song, but not this picture >.< she doesnt need that much makeup..... even with too much makeup shes amazing and gorgeous tho ^^

  • that's how pure simplicity grows to mighty power. that's how a song can stuck in the heart and never leave.

  • No matter how many times I listen to this song, it never gets old.

  • amazingreginaspektorsongology!

  • amazingreginaspektorsongology!

  • HEARTWRENCHING

  • I should be working on my essay, but I'm to busy listening to this masterpiece. :)

  • I wouldn't mind school if it it was taught by Regina.

  • omg..y is this woman so gorgeous?!

  • omg... why i've never heard this song before? :O It's the most beautiful thing i've ever heard!!

  • Hearing music this beautiful is like falling in love.

  • if only i heard this song sooner.....so many mistakes could have been avoided....and thank you Regina for singing a song my heart has been longing to hear.

  • TEACH ME, OH MIGHTY REGINA :L <3

  • i love this song alot!

  • i listened to the song when i got my first tatoo for the symbol of love . kept me calm the whole time, loveology really makes the word go round

  • The four people who disliked this don't have any "loveology" to share.

    Beautiful...but Regina always is.

  • wow this girl got talent

  • I love this song!<3

  • Reginaology... :)

  • i don't know about you but I really want to learn abour porcupineology... Loving the song ^.^

  • People nowadays could use a lesson in "I'msorryology" and "Forgivemeology".

  • Kinda want to smack the person who clapped before it was over.

  • gives me chills al over my body.

  • 42- "Answer to the Ultimate Question of Life, the Universe, and Everything"

    page 42- Loveology

    Love=Answer to the Ultimate Question

    I like Regina's thinking :)

  • @adelaidebliss And your comment has 42 likes :D

  • @adelaidebliss Um, the question is actually "What do you get if you multiply six by nine" as revealed in book three. This was very dissapointing, as the answer was supposed to be 42, not 54.

  • @adelaidebliss "And Love Is The Answer To A Question That I Have Forgotten" :)

  • @noxatracava Duuude that was the first thing that popped into my mind.

  • @adelaidebliss

That kind of made me thing of "Reading Time with Pickle" and the "Love, love is the answer to the question that I have forgotten." Unrelated, but still ponder-able.

  • When I hear this song, I think of a couple that had a huge argument. He storms out of the house. She feels bad, because she made a mistake. She plays this song in the room. He comes back, and hears her singing the entire thing. She doesn't know he's there because the piano doesn't face the door. Suddenly, to him, it doesn't matter why they were fighting, he just smiles and listens. The clapping at 5:33 is him saying he forgives her. She turns around, surprised and relieved. They embrace. :)

  • what the hell is wrong with america seriously we rather play bullshit than 2 listen 2 something with meaning!

  • is this from a live recording?

  • @hollyivy7 yes. its amazing huh?

  • i love this song and when i hear it i imagine: a person sitting in class remembering how they broke someone heart and how they wished they had learned what to do right instead of learning some equation that they won't use past next week. i imagine a person sitting in class thinking, wishing that that the teacher would say 'turn to page 42 and lets learn about love-ology. and care-ology and help-ology and.....im sorry-ology....................

  • BELLISSIMA!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • porcupineology!!!

  • This is so beautiful and so simple. The violin and piano bring me to tears. Then someone had to go and clap too early.

  • @rabbitsandkeys me too this song brings me to tears.

  • I cried the first time I heard this song :)

  • Why is she not more known? I mean, yeah, popular music is great and I listen to it on the radio all the time, but Regina deserves to be just as popular as Lady Gaga. And more popular than Britney Spears.

  • I love this song!!!! It is wonderful!!!! The cello is wonderful and it makes me feel mellow at times. Regina Spektor is very beautiful and is great!!!!

  • Lol, I had a dream last night that we had a bonfire party and Regina came...we decided to steal a piano from Nordstrom so that she could play for us!

  • @TheHappiHolidayz haha great dream. :D

  • @girlinthetrilby Yes, it was a great dream ;) I woke up so happy. Regina totally made my day before it began!

  • which album is this off?

  • @soraxkairi14 sadly none of them. She played it live a couple of times a long time ago and thats all she wrote.

  • Wow..This actually made me cry. Regina, how do you do it?! XD

  • She's so beautiful :).

  • diosa

  • i just love it

  • SO unique.

  • This picture scarcely even looks like her!

  • I have enrolled in Spektology :)

  • @nblumer

    Same here ^^

  • ... ♥...

  • She is so beautiful it makes my heart ache! I love that she doesn't have a really conventional beauty- it's so unique and personal. And besides that she is an amazing artist and musician! Long Live Lady Regina ♥

  • This song couldn't be more true. I love Regina Spektor so much. Her voice is beautiful.

  • wow, just.. gorgeous.

    she's amazing

  • i miss you Katherine... such an awesome sister....

  • this song makes me wanna cry.... i agree with pokpokpok... if school taught us loveology, sorryology, and forgivemeology the world would be a better place. so much more useful than math and crap.

  • i cant find this song anywhere! :( i sad sad sad, its an amazing song. anyone know where i can get it?

  • @chocochic66 Limewire. Unfortunately.

  • I love how she plays with her voice <3

  • does anyone know where i can get this song? its not on itunes or anything... :(

  • @mozeppo I found it back in the day on limewire. I'm sure you can find it somewhere. Try pirate bay, or amazon.

  • 3:49 = goosebumps

  • Been singing this all day. :) (Its driving people crazy!)

  • will someone please post a tutorial

  • a tutorial of what?

  • @lollipops. im pretty sure, based on how carefully she considers here lyrics, that she was aware of that and did it for word play. i think its creative and a creative lyric (also, considering it from a music theory stand point, the word apology doesn't handle the number of beats well, and she wanted all of the words to end in -ology obviously...)

  • yes i know i was only joking :)

  • 'I'm-sorry-ology, forgive-me-ology'

    - always gets me. One of my favourite Regina songs but I realised that there already is an 'I'm-sorry-ology', it's called 'apology'

  • mama-ology always gets me

  • Great Song

  • Reginas songs aren't supposed to be interpreted. Not that literally anyway. Just ask her or watch an interview. Just whatever it helps you for it to mean, think that.

  • Messege me and explain... please i am curious.?

  • @Daydaye1

This song was written in mid to late 2000's, what most people don't know is regina spektor spend a lot of time just outside of Russia studying under a female pianist/vocalist, who remains to be unnamed but use to preform under the name prigasaurus where most of her songs were dedicated to her love interest with the "koos" she called him/her. In the late 1980's prigasaurus released a song extremely similar to this with an almost identical chorus and message which she taught to regina.

  • sorry bub, LIES.

  • I think this song is probably about the lack of true care in the world. No one cares for eachother, not truly. We are all incurable humanists all to fragile and scared to get in touch with deeper emotions.

So when we do something wrong, we'll just go to the movies and be together, we will only hum about unimportnant things and avoid the real problem.

The class is not a schoolclass and the singer not a teacher. But humans are the pupils and she is trying to make us see.

    To teach us about love.

  • antlerology-more sex, (i dont think car, bus, or trainology have any significance), but then mama, papa, me, and youology..maybe she asked for too much she wanted to get marrried and have kids like the ones she teaches everyday, but he only wanted sex probably. she tries to apologize, but it doesnt work, and she ends up carrying this emotional baggage into the classroom with her..or maybe because she's a school teacher that's how she relates everything back to a study...just my thought
