Please ask your parents to search for information on the dangers of the HPV vaccine themselves, without just taking the doctors word that it is safe. Merck says that a booster shot is needed every 5 years, after Merck was asked how long the "protection" lasts.

It's cheaper, safer, & more sensible to get regular PAP tests instead of the vaccine.

You still need regular PAP tests even after HPV vaccines, because you can still get HPV.

Don't look at the needle at all. Bring a portable CD player or mp3 player so you can focus on music rather than the shot. Or you could see if they'll let you read a book during the shot. Anything to take your mind away from it.

I had mine recently, it does sting for about 10 seconds. It is quick and painless... afterwards you get muscle aches need to sit down and drink something, i went a little lighteaded afterwards but after a quick lye down i was fyne. good luck x
