Apple Valley AVaire Dance Team High Kick 2010-2011

I realize that this is a hard section but that is what was voted on 15 years ago when danceline wanted to be taked more seriously and be treated like every other sport and have sections. Not all the good bb teams or fb teams get out of their section either, that is the way it goes. You can't go back to when all 30+ teams competed at state and the top 8 went to finals, those days are over. It happens in every sport. Is it fair, no, tbut hat's life, it's time to move on.

There definitely are some very talented girls on this team but there are some girls that stand out and could've used another year on the junior varsity team. The past years I could see more passion in the way they dance. Good Luck in Sections.

I agree with the comment below. Sections should be more evenly balanced as the section that contains AV, EV, Burnsville, and Faribault is, in my opinion, the hardest kick section while the sections that has Wayzata, Maple Grove, Chaska, and EP is by far the hardest jazz section. MSHSL should redo dance team sections so it really is the BEST teams at state. As far as this dance goes, I feel like it has potential, but i would rather like to see AV change is and come up with something different.

I think that apple valley is a really good team and deserves to go to state

i feel like their sections it is really hard to get into the top 3 spots

they have the hardest section

they have Eastview, burnsville, and faribault in their sections

as well as many other good teams

I think their section should take the top 4 spots ;)

Because if this team was in a different sections they could get in to state for sure!

Not to say that they wont get top three at sections

@danceteamer8 And I hate it, it looks like a dance any number of schools would have done 5 or 10 years ago. Where is the progression of the sport in terms of choreogrpahy, music and uniforms? It looks like Faribault from 2005 or 2006 or 2007....

Completely agree, however, dance is different. Their are only four sections, compared to other sports that have more, and each section sends three teams, unlike other sports that only send one. 1AAA and 2AAA are stacked and I feel like it should be more evenly balanced. No matter what they do, their will always be good teams left out of state. And AV dance resembles NOTHING to Faribault. Yes, it is more retro, but I like it more than the themed dances.
