based on what i read from his book it seems that the Bush Administration underestimated the threat of Bin laden & Al Qaeda. The Bush Admin. didn't even believe that Al Qaeda could've done what they were accused of doing (prior to 9-11) without funding from a state.....like Iraq. The prior warning of the 5th September 2001 was that there would be an attack on 9/11 because in the USA they dial 9 11 for the police. It is a psychological

choice to attack Homeland Security, as they call it.

With pilots learning to fly large passenger jets and not fussy about landing does not require a genius to work out the rest. The warning was passed on but ignored and then suppressed by the 9/11 Commission. Cover-ups do not last forever.

It's true that the warning was nonspecific, but Bush could have urged his people to investigate, comb through the intelligence for clues, etc. We now know that he did nothing. And the reason, apparently, is that the Bush gang saw the whole issue as Clinton's thing, and the Bushies were much more preoccupied with Iraq and Saddam. So the nonspecificity of the warning does not absolve Bush of blame. He could have taken some action, but he didn't. That will always be part of his legacy.
