I played the trial and while I think it does suffer, it's not as bad as people make it out to be. The game DOES go back to survival horror roots and aside from the so called technical issues it's still worth at least playing. GRAPHICS DON'T MAKE THE GAME. They only help to enhance it and I thought there weren't many problems. Mind you I love games like Resident Evil and Silent Hill, so that's probably why I enjoyed the gameplay.

I guess people nowadays hold games like FEAR as the standard for survival horror...Lets not forgot this is a downloadable game either. That in mind, I think this game is pretty cool. Just my opinion

@Mcdovin1 Maybe in terms of theme, yes, but in terms of execution, how the game was constructed; nnnnope. The dialougue was awkward (and not in the enjoyably hammy way of the origional RE), the clipping (that you can walk into Am(Half-Life logo), and it makes her glide across the floor, like she was wearing Shadow's rocket hovershoes) takes you right out of the game, the camera's terrible; there's alot that takes away from getting involved with the game.

@DuddBudda Whoa, somebody woke up on the wrong side of anger management. First of all, you don't have to fight all enemies so that point is moot. You can sneak around, run and even pass yourself off as one of them since Lana is infected.

Also, the PS3 is the younger of the 2 HD consoles and it's 5 yrs old. With the exception of slight screen tearing, the graphics look fine but that's purely subjective.

Anyhow, stop being ignorant and take a learned interest in what you speak about beforehand.

I've only watched 5 minutes, but so far that seems to be indicitive of the game at large - to think someone pushed this out with THIS level of screen tear and framerate issues, with the above kind of laziness, it is becoming grossly apparent that this game could do with another couple months of hard work.

@stormyllama The graphics look dated because they are dated. Low res textures, bad animations, the PC version won't look any better. It might not have the same screen tearing or framerate drops...but then again PC ports are often worse.

This is a downloadable title made by a fairly rookie developer, low end graphics are expected. Don't expect the PC port (and it will be a port) to be any better, Certainly don't expect the graphics to suddenly leap a generation.

Looks fine to me for a survival horror game. I think people are way too use to over-the-top arcadey shooters. There's no reason to be putting it down if you understand that it isn't meant to be a fast-paced action game. Personally, I enjoy games where exploration and thought is put into how to go about obstacles. It's got a creepy atmosphere and immersive world with simplistic, yet engaging mechanics. What more could you ask for out of a pure survival horror?

People were outraged by the price disparity so VectorCell did a poll and over 70% of voters asked for the game to be delayed a week, in order to match 360's price. But ya, Europe still has to pay the price for the equivalent of $13. It's a shame:They tried to do a noble thing and give Europe a break for once (they always pay more), it ends up backfiring on the rest of us.
