Well, today I have decided I will definately not be voting for Libertas. The leader of Libertas Netherlands, Eline van den Broek, wrote on her blog that torture should be a allowed in the fight against terrorism. There is no way I could vote for that.

Ireland need another option, look at the people involved in Libertas in Ireland, all successful people with staggering CV's. And then look at the school teachers that run for the other parties.

Eurpe is run by people like him who will not tolerate any views which conflicts wiith thier own, whether it is a legal matter, a moral matter, or just plain common sense. Alright.. It's all about voting system. That's ok.. But how about contacts with the US? Russia? China? How about all other issues? Politics is not just about to change one treaty, it's a queue of other issues.

I won't vote libertas as long as they will have some clear political program.

I guess the treaty is an extremely important beginning, as you can see not many political parties openly talk about their views on foreign policy of EU, as it's a very touchy matter... But the closer we get to the elections, them ore will be revealed. Great speech Mr Ganley!

I agree. Ganley can give an inspiring speech and I support Libertas ideals of democracy, transparancy and accountability. But besides those points, it's not clear what their position is on many other issues. I will probably vote for a national party this election, because atleast I know what they stand for. But I'll certainly continue following the further development of Libertas with great interest.
