How in any way is the Irish media corrupt! If anything we have one of the freest media in the E.U!
Corrupt media my hole. Just because no one supports Sinn Fein or any other of these tinfoil hat brigades doesnt make the media corrupt. Read the irish times as opposed to the star and you might change your tact
Well, today I have decided I will definately not be voting for Libertas. The leader of Libertas Netherlands, Eline van den Broek, wrote on her blog that torture should be a allowed in the fight against terrorism. There is no way I could vote for that.
Do you think Fianna Fail would be a better alternative?
Or Fine bandwagon Gael?
Or the smoked-salmon socialists in Labour?
Ireland need another option, look at the people involved in Libertas in Ireland, all successful people with staggering CV's. And then look at the school teachers that run for the other parties.
Libertas was a breath of fresh air for Irish politics.
For a second ther it seemed like you wer implying school teachers wer unsuccessful. Libertas are a party shrouded in secrets. Wer have they got ther money from? Ganley sure as hell won't tell you.
He doesn't seem to mention that he was caught trading with terrorists in the 90's either.
Sure Charlie Haughey and Fianna Fail were doing that in the 70's except the only difference between my claim and your is that my claim is true. Still, Charlie is a hero to FF, despite the blatant corruption.
Want to talk about secrets, have you been following the tribunals in Irelands?
Yearight1970 sees anything different from his or her views as conspiracy. That is exactly why I am joining Libertas. Eurpe is run by people like him who will not tolerate any views which conflicts wiith thier own, whether it is a legal matter, a moral matter, or just plain common sense. So if Ireland s `no` we must get them to say `yes`. There is obviously they maintain ignorance here. .I just cannot stand such intolerance so am voting Libertas.
When you see the political elite here in Ireland going completely over the top attacking Ganley and Libertas, you know youre onto something worth voting for. I cant wait to vote no again.
Look at him keep a straight face while he calls himself pro-European, contrary to what he says, his strategy is to divide Europe, strengthen NATO and thus make Europe less safe,
This ensures more lucrative military contracts of US Gov for his Rivada Networks company
A very clever business man, he has already got $200M off the CIA
Estulins sources also tell him that Bilderberg will again attempt to push for the enactment of the Lisbon Treaty, a key centerpiece of the agenda to fully entrench a federal EU superstate, by forcing the Irish to vote again on the document in September/October despite having rejected it already, along with other European nations, in national referendums.
One of their concerns is addressing and neutralizing the anti-Lisbon treaty movement called Libertas led by Declan Ganley. One of the Bilderberger planned moves is to use a whispering campaign in the US media suggested that Ganley is being funded by arms dealers in the US linked to the US military, reports CFP.
Alright.. It's all about voting system. That's ok.. But how about contacts with the US? Russia? China? How about all other issues? Politics is not just about to change one treaty, it's a queue of other issues.
I won't vote libertas as long as they will have some clear political program.
I guess the treaty is an extremely important beginning, as you can see not many political parties openly talk about their views on foreign policy of EU, as it's a very touchy matter... But the closer we get to the elections, them ore will be revealed. Great speech Mr Ganley!
I agree. Ganley can give an inspiring speech and I support Libertas ideals of democracy, transparancy and accountability. But besides those points, it's not clear what their position is on many other issues. I will probably vote for a national party this election, because atleast I know what they stand for. But I'll certainly continue following the further development of Libertas with great interest.

"Caught trading with terrorists in the 90's"
That is the best smear I have heard so far.

i have learned that all socialist types - even mildly socialist - have no tolerance for difference of opinion
i am afraid stalinism is alive and well and camouflaged amongst us
it is exactly my reason for voting libertas - the word means exactly that

Check what the liberals have to offer my friend. They have everything which the best in Libertas, they are clear and have lots of other plans..
It was the liberals and democrats who bocked internet regulations proposed by EPP! They know what to stand for.

Yeah I know, man I'm glad that plan was shot down! Atleast for now.
Anyway, yes I will be voting for a party wich is part of the liberal democrat group. :)
