  • Oh, Bachmann... What are we going to do with you? You cleverly disguise your pro-life legislation with the idea that women will now have more of a choice with this policy when in fact you're shaming women who want abortions into having unwanted pregnancies. Women do not take getting an abortion lightly and think through their options before making their decision. You should be ashamed for bullying these women into having a baby that they aren't prepared for.

  • @commonsensejournal, I'm sorry if my comment appeared to be advocating something. I was sincerely asking a question and I did not promote any viewpoint in my comment. I am very curious about Rep. Bachmann's policies and I attempted to ask about one policy here in a genuine manner. Do you know about her policies? I thank you for any help, but please refrain from likening me to a Nazi, especially when I have not even written about any stance.

  • she sounds like a democrat...

  • you are a horrible person.

  • I think that every person who is about to eat a steak should have to listen to the heartbeat of the cow that the steak came from before choosing to eat it. I think that they should hold the chicken in their hands while its head gets chopped off.

    Oh, wait, "right to life" only applies to fetuses who can't survive on their own anyhow? Not to creatures that already exist? Damn...

  • @DWEmma - Your viewpoint is thought provoking, as is the process of realizing there is more to meat than just eating it. As for this bill, does you point carry over to support a statement such as, "there is more to a fetus than just aborting/letting it live?" I also have other questions below that you may want to elaborate on.

  • @DWEmma You're comparing human baby lives to animals? Also you are begging the question in your logically fallacious "already exist" comment. Unborn humans do already exist. However, animals should have welfare (Scully, Dominion) but not the same "rights" as humans (like a baby-killing Nazi like Peter Singer advocates).

  • To get acquainted with multiple viewpoints, I have read through the previous posts here. I am not trying to persuade anyone to think like me; I am attempting to improve our understanding of the issue generally. To accomplish this, some questions must be considered:

    does this bill guarantee a certain emotional process to occur while going through the process of an abortion, or does it have other motives?

    How harmful are these effects of the bill and do they help or hinder those involved?

  • @jkb224963 In my opinion this bill seems to have other motives. It promotes the pro-life opinion while pretending to support pro-life. Essentially it states that over 70% of time the mother decided to keep her child. Because of this it is clear that this bill was put into place to keep mothers from aborting their children.

  • IF YOU REALLY WANT RADICAL CHANGE DURING YOUR LIFETIME,

    VOTE FOR BACHMAN, she'll implode the Repugnat Party!!!

  • Rep. Bachmann is proposing that the passage of this bill will prevent more abortions. We can then assume that this will result in more women choosing to carry their babies to term, meaning more pregnant women, more mothers, and more children in America at any given time.

    Can anyone connect me to Rep. Bachmann's proposed strategies for responsibly and financially dealing with all of these additional pregnant mothers and the resulting children? I would very much appreciate it.

    Thank you.

  • @elizabethgeras Killing the unwanted is something Adolf Hitler was nefarious for. You're advocating the same thing. Yes, some people have 15 kids who cannot afford one, but murder is not the answer (obviously to those of us with a moral compass). Condoms and responsibility are the answer, not rewarding irresponsibility with permission to murder.

  • The bill describes it as "empowering women". Since when is empowering a synonym for forcing???

  • @LavenderHoneyPancake It's empowering them with knowledge of scientific facts (oops pro-abort Nazis deny science that even 4th graders know, that life begins at conception). It's also empowering the unborn female inside the mother in a way, and it may save lives until "abortion" (the killing of innocent human beings) is outlawed again.

  • @commonsensejournal No. Empowering is not the same as forcing. Forcing patients and doctors to perform acts is something the Nazis (of which you made a reference to) made a practice. Let's start breaking all medical boundaries. This country is already tearing the Constitution apart, why not everything else like our medical standards, right? "Empowering the unborn female" Why do you assume the zygote is female? You can't hide your forceful medical practices in sugarcoated language.

  • When are you going to drop out of the race? You're only helping Romney and you know it.

  • Oy Vay!

  • @dominick7 I am a cluster of cells.

  • If you're so pro-life, Congresswoman, why won't you give everyone access to heath care? Sorry forgot this is socialism.

  • @mzm153 because less people will get the health care they need and it will be of lower quality when take it out of the market, individual choices, and put it under the control of elected officials.

  • @mzm153

    {If you're so pro-life, Congresswoman, why won't you give everyone access to heath care? Sorry forgot this is socialism}

    Your statement is one that "turns the tables" on the Congresswoman. The truth is that "we the people" are the most trustworthy & dependable for providing effective healthcare to "we the people". Marxism gives the government the power over "we the people's" life & death matters

    Also, as a general rule, governments will be eager to make provisions for the governed

  • because it enables the governments to rule authoritatively... which is diametrically opposed to the ideals & sole purpose of the US Constitution. Its the equivalent to when parents correctly say to their children; "as long as you're living under this roof, it will be by our rules". That's because the parents "PROVIDE". However, thats correct policy for parents because they don't provide with what they first take from their children, as do governments. They give you back whats yours & become boss

  • ZOMG SOCIALISM!!!!!

  • I am so glad that Michelle Bachmann is PRO-LIFE. I will NEVER vote for a candidate ( be it for - president , senator , congressman/woman) that is NOT PRO-LIFE.

  • @computerpurple

    {I will NEVER vote for a candidate ( be it for - president , senator , congressman/woman) that is NOT PRO-LIFE}

    That is a good policy. There exist many persons that are not pro-choice but that will vote for the powers that enable abortion, because of a different issue. However, for a person to empower whomever or whatever makes abortion possible, causes that person to share in the accountability for the millions of wrongful deaths. This may not necessarily condemn a person that

  • @computerpurple

    has voted for a Democrat, if the person was not aware of this possible reality at the time of voting. However, once this has been understood, then, I believe, that this would be how it works within the court above

    Wrongful death occurs on Earth because man's ultimate enemy desires to destroy life. The wrongful death of children exists because man's enemy more greatly desires to destroy "innocent" life

  • Anything else is a validation and ratification of being able to murder without guilt. Evil. Abortion isn't just giving capital punishment to a defenseless baby who has done nothing to deserve it, but it has serious physical emotional and spiritual consequences for the mother as well.

  • This is about being fully informed that a mother will be killing her baby, not a cluster of cells, a growth, or something less than a fully human person.

  • You just lost my vote. I'm sure women everywhere who have to make the difficult decision to abort are going to be oh-so excited to be forced to feel even worse about their educated decisions. Let's guilt women into being mothers........what is wrong with you Bachmann?

  • @ebrockdoc who cares how the mother feels about murdering a baby with a beating heart.

  • @ebrockdoc

    {women who have to make the difficult decision to abort are going to be oh-so excited to be forced to feel even worse about their educated decisions}

    Your statement is one not very educated. If a woman would already feel bad about her decision to abort & if the actions proposed within this bill caused her to feel worse, then thats because the woman has understood that she has enacted a heroic deed that is worthy of praise, celebration & awards?????

    Use your brain, think about it

  • For a member and founder of the Tea Party Caucus she is pushing for more government intervention. She is a hypocrite about getting the government out of people's lives.

  • Michele Bachmann takes the first step to killing women who terminate their pregnancies. Of course for Bachmann the right to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness ends at birth. That's why her husband is in the bash the gay away business. That's why Bachmann signed the NOMZI kill marriage equality pledge.

  • @demandequality1868

    {Michele Bachmann takes the first step to killing women who terminate their pregnancies}

    Precisely when I thought a comment couldn't get anymore ridiculous, then I read your next sentence

    {Of course for Bachmann the right to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness ends at birth}

    First, you attributed the status of "killer" to Rep. Bachmann. Then, you implicitly stated that she kills those not yet born??? If you perceive her to be "pro-choice", then why all the opposition?

  • {That's why her husband is in the bash the gay away business}

    He doesn't "bash" the gays. The gays bash themselves more than does anyone else. Gays comprise approx. 2% of the US population. However, they account for much more than 2% of "crimes of passion". Whenever one merely opines differently from the gay's views, the gays often attribute them with "homophobia", "bigot" etc. Then, gays often claim that those opposing homosexuality are simply "closet" gays

    No one hates gays, as do gays

  • However, the hate from politically active gays doesn't end there. It never fails to shock me whenever I observe the great number of gays that hate their own "Breeder" parents. But don't worry, that's not a phobic "irrational fear".... that indicates a much more serious mental defect

    "Psychoparentopathic", I believe, is their clinically recognized condition

    oooh, how the diabolically tyrannical politico-rulers hate it when Christians take their fictional constructs & make real science out of it

  • We don't need more government intervention. Hearts and minds, Rep Bachmann... hearts and minds.

  • Finally, a congresswoman who follows through and stands firm on her beliefs, even if people disagree with her. Nice to have someone who actually stands up for what they believe in. As for the heartbeat, you had better damn well listen to it before you decide to have your baby murdered.

  • Since women can already have an ultrasound before having an abortion, if that is what they wish, this legislation is not necessary in any way.

  • the government is too involved in our lives already! bizarre emotional blackmailing of young women was not what our founding fathers intended for this beautiful land!

  • @JAYAJAMIN

    {emotional blackmailing of young women was not what our founding fathers intended}

    Indeed, the founding fathers would not have proposed anything anywhere near to the things spoken within this bill. However, you know of the Christian's reputation for being ignorant. The founding father's society possessed absolutely no knowledge of the term "teenage pregnancy". Not to mention that "abortion" would conjure images of history's uncivilized barbarians slashing open pregnant women's wombs

  • The "Yankee Doodle Dandy Daddies" would not have uttered this bill's words because they would apply to no relevant reality within their Christian society. In other words, this bill would be unnecessary in their world

    Perhaps I'm wrong. Maybe the women of 1776 wore dresses down to their ankles & often with aprons because they were truly raging, progressive hippies. That would explain why Abigail Adams & Dolly Madison publicly ran around naked... because "the founders were secular minded"

  • Really?! I was under the impression that you didn't want government interfering in a person's private healthcare conversations with his/her doctor?

  • @bushonomics amazing

  • @bushonomics It all began right before the Nazi regime, "permission to kill life unworthy of life," and now we have Nazi fascists like yourself saying that opposition to killing of innocent human beings is somehow the "government getting into your business." Well the government has an interest in protecting a child from abusive parents who beat her or him; likewise, we as society can say to a woman not to kill her unborn child, as that is properly defined as murder.

  • @bushonomics of course leftists/liberals want to ban happy meals, lemonade stands, and recently created a task force and agency to regulate bed sheet sizes in California. Conservatives want govt. out of our life except when necessary to protect innocent life. Leftists want hyperregulation on everything including salt, while conservatives oppose this, but want to protect babies of course. Liberals/leftists/progs have it ass backwards.

  • Watching Bachmann in 480p because I am hardcore. Also, she is introducing a good piece of legislation. I don't even live in America!
