Chris was who got me interested in tennis. I loved her. I dunno why the women's
game interested me more than the men's, but it did then, and it does now. Although with so many of the name players not playing, the women's game seems to be losing a
bit of its marquee value. Chris was always my favorite, until Monica and the Williams sisters came along. I used to LOVE how Chris would beat players 6-0 or 6-1, and act like she hadn't really done much, while the other player looked demolished!

But I never undeerstood it. I mean King had whipped Goolagong in the 75 wimbledon final and didnt play in 76. It seemed that King and Casala, a pair of bitch dykes if there ever was, trained Chris in the 76 wimbledon to win against Evonne for the first time ever on grass. Thats taking NOTHING away fro Chris who came back fro 5-6 to win 8-6 in the 3rd
they probably were sucking up to chris cuz they knew chris was the queen of american tennis and would look better than those dykes. chris to them would represent the tour without any lip. billie talks too much she get on my last nerve
no, it was after BJK whipped a young Chris. Evonne was in the locker room when King, Casals and all the nasty bitches like Nancy Richey Gunter and Virginia Wade came in and acted like BJK was just elected President. Evonne saw Chris crying badly and thats when she went down and said' dont wurry'. Chris always remembered it. I often wander then why BJK and Casals plotted against Evonne at the 76 Wimbledon. They were all there, in the players box during the evert/cawley final sucking up to Chris
in evonne's book she said that chris took her loss to evonne really bad and evonne told her that it's just a game. evonne is really SUNSHINE SUPERGIRL
Chris said in her book that Evonne touched her on the arm afer a match when King, Casals and the other bitches were taunting Chris and Evonne said 'dont wurry its only a tennis match' Goolagong was a one in a million, thanks god she was around then
@kangaroosbraun I'd be curious to see that in the book, as I know King was an earlier supporter of Chris Evert. (In fact, I saw them talking together at the US Open in 1973.) I've read that King told the other players who gave Evert a hard time to lay off her. In essence, King told them Evert was going to bring in more fans and put more money in everyone's pocket.
Evonne, will be 58 on the 31st. She won the aussie four times, french once, and wimbledon twice, and a finalist four times at the US Open until she got the last laugh in the early 80's.
of course eventually but i am a very busy man,i dont just collect tennis i have to go through all my video tapes and im transfering them all to dvd and also have to work on improving the video.

@geoffybellofiore well give today's women wooden rackets and lets see how they'd do against these all time greats!

Videos like this really should be treasured as they show the real talent that Ladies Tennis had in the 1960s and '70s. Thank you so much for posting.
