The gameboyadvance has a 32bit graphics processor it can do better. This is really good none the less.(the first playstation had 32 bit graphics)

@ownd9000LOL Honestly the "bits" of a system really are not that important. The xbox 360 for example is a 32 bit system and it far surpasses the capabilities of the N64 or the PS2

similarly the PS3 uses 64 bit Power PC and 128 bit GPRs.

in the end "bits" are more a marketing term then actual power.

But back on topic, yes, this is very impressive for the GBA

well, DS cards hold about 128mb of data, which means you have to compress alot of it then extract it when its needed. GBA is the same way only with slightly lower amounts of data (64 or 72mb) a CD that was used on the

PS1 is around 700mb, a UMD used in a PSP is about 1900mb or 1.8gb.

actually the ds cards hold 257MB which is 4 times as much ans n64 carts held, and a point im trying to make is that if this game it shows on this video works perfect on a primitive GBA then the DS is perfectly capable of creating a game just like it, and possibly 2x better

The GBA maxed out at 32 MB, which is the largest location the processor could address without bankswitching. A few carts used bankswitching to get up to 64 MB (only the feature-length movies like Shrek) but they have not been dumped since nobody can figure out the bankswitching method.

DS games currently can be up to 256 MB, though this can most likely change. The upper limit is not yet known as far as I can tell.

All I am saying is that the DS does not have the graphical or storage capabilties to make a true GTA on it unless it was 3D cell shaded, or had 3D enviroments w/ 2D sprites and models. Course I havent developed for the DS yet, but I program for Dreamcast (homebrew)and I am fairly good at estimating the limitations on systems.

i agree on brothers and arms, but something that has been plauging games with large enviroments and almost every DS game with large open, full 3D areas (except metroid that was amazing) is the FPS. It seems they cant get it more than 15-23 fps. Brothers and arms was locked at 20fps, which is playable, but man it makes your head hurt after continuis play. If nintendo gave R* the graphics engine they used for metroid i could see a GTA game, not a big one, (metroid was short) but still a GTA.

I'd really hoped Pocketeers would find publishers for The World of Crime and Zero Tolerance. Original 3D titles on GBA? Hell yes. So I bought NFS: Porsche Unleashed, figuring anything to keep them from going bankrupt was a step toward getting these great titles from beta to release.
