I would strive to say go for the rapier.

The max hit of a c maul at 90 STR is 537, compared to 450 of an obby maul with a b neck. Assuming you'll stay a pure by the time you choose, your HP won't drastically change.

Since the max of a c rapier at 90 STR is 417, (for a pure with ovld's), you can make a great combo without the maul. A 300 from the rapier, followed by a decent dds spec, makes no difference in the maul that is chosen. Even on an opponent with max HP, both mauls are capable of

Maul because it has way more strength bonus... obviously you have high ranged so just use throwing knifes then smack them. I think its like a 183 smash bonus... But rapier is like 121 so yea for pking maul rapier pvm

Rapier, just think, you can train with the rapier when not in pvp. Maul is just a K0 wep, you have plenty. Just use rapier, it'll suck down their food, and you can train str with it. :) must have.

Well if u get the maul it will be used more for pking if u get rapier u can take to bandits still with the zamorak book and get alot higher xp/per hr with the maul u would have to wear a god item as armor which would lower ur +str bonus and maul takes alot longer to atk thats why it's a pk wep but if u want for pking maul is the way to go

maul, couple reasons: first off, with a rapier that leaves you with a shield slot... 1 def? i'm pretty sure your not planing on using that for very many things.. a maul is a lot more fun, at the cost of getting veng combo'd out :( plus maul rapes pures lol +167 crush, with +155 str bonus.. tares through pures. and its SEXYIER!
