I like this alot I can't believe theres 4 dislikes. Your playing it your own way which is what your supposed to do on a cover. On my ''New Wave Polly'' Nirvana cover I added some stuff the same with ''The Money will roll right in.'' by Fang (but I prefer doing the Nirvana cover)
Awesome man. I'm in no position to lecture but if anything Id' say hit the strings a bit harder and maybe pick further up the neck for the hendrix sound..
Why cover a song if you're not going to put your own spin on it? Why would someone listen to an identical cover when they can hear the original version (especially if the original player was Jimi)?
@nickusa317 jimi never played any of his songs the same way. there are some songs he's played live and he'd changed the vibe of his songs. buddy is doing what jimi wouldve done. and a cover isnt supposed to a copy of the song youre coving. you have to put your vibe into the song to make it a cover.
Thanks! This one is a keeper. I bought it used out of a pawn shop about 25 years ago...before they got too valuable. It's a stock 1973 model and it is nearly mint condition still.
True...he did but not for every tune. I play most everything in standard tuning because it can be done this way and when I did play live more, it was easier for me to just deal with one tuning. Thanks for watching! -BC
man that was just great, i like that in your covers your sound is very clean,,,no bluffing going on with a bunch of effects..not that effects werent apart of jimis music..but you still have to PLAY the notes...good job
Ronaldinho91981 - Are you serious? You either don't know this particular Hendrix tune or you don't recognize true talent and musicianship when you see it...or both...maybe I should save that response until you post your own cover version of this one. Let me know when that is. :)
Buddy - A request... Red House!!! Or the Door's Peace Frog, or better yet, someday you should show the YouTube audience your ability to make a set of drum skins smoke like no other...keep them coming!
I think it is an excellent cover throughtout and when considering someone is plugged directly into an amp with little to no studio effects, pedals, etc., it captures relavant aspects of the song using the whammy bar...just my take, but regardless no doubt, Hendrix, and in this, Buddy, take us all into orbit around the 51 second point...all around awesome sound!

Jimi tuned his guitars down a half note. (Eb).
His stringset was 10,13,15,26,32,38. Sometimes using a "Hawaiistring" as the 3rd (G).
Try it out, it works fantastic on a strat.
