  • I like this alot I can't believe theres 4 dislikes. Your playing it your own way which is what your supposed to do on a cover. On my ''New Wave Polly'' Nirvana cover I added some stuff the same with ''The Money will roll right in.'' by Fang (but I prefer doing the Nirvana cover)

  • Found myself bobbing my head along to this cover, very well done, congratulations! :)

  • @TheAmazingScotsman Thanks!

  • the projected visuals in the background remind me of early Pink Floyd shows

  • very nice indeed! Great tone too:)

  • nice cover man!!

  • nice background

  • gotta say the cover is intensely awesome and the trippy background sets it all off sooooooo well. cheers man

  • He can cover this 100% with feeling, great guitarist right here.

  • Very very nice!!! Bravo!

  • pure gold

  • that was awesome!

  • nice!

  • that's a nice cover of jimi's track man...don't worry about what other people say...you are just doing your own thing.

    peace & love from netherlands...

    henny

  • @henny66306 Thanks! I don't let other people define me...which may be why I am much better off than a lot of the pundits...LOL

  • can you please tell me how you got the tone????

  • @GoingCamando20 1973 Fender Stratocaster + Fender Hot Rod DeVille 4-10 plus flanger preamp...

  • i liked it alot so mellow therefore i dig it

  • @Catch22ish Thanks!

  • i liked it

  • Very Nice Cover

  • mellow shit dude, loved it Hope u can check out mysongs and leave a comment :)

  • RESPECT! Very well done..........

  • AWESOME

  • Awesome man. I'm in no position to lecture but if anything Id' say hit the strings a bit harder and maybe pick further up the neck for the hendrix sound..

  • Anybody that uses Fractal animation gets a big "attaboy" from me.

  • Awsome background to go with the great playing :)

  • good sound... but its not how jimi plays it at all..

  • I'm not Jimi...and neither are you.

  • @BuddyClontz absolutely true

  • Well everyone has there own style and if they didnt dont you think music would be rather boring

  • @nickusa317

Why cover a song if you're not going to put your own spin on it? Why would someone listen to an identical cover when they can hear the original version (especially if the original player was Jimi)?

  • @nickusa317 how is it not at all?...he made it his own and its clearly recognizable as third stone from the sun

  • @nickusa317 jimi never played any of his songs the same way. there are some songs he's played live and he'd changed the vibe of his songs. buddy is doing what jimi wouldve done. and a cover isnt supposed to a copy of the song youre coving. you have to put your vibe into the song to make it a cover.

  • cool set up! great sound that projector in the back is awesome!

can i come over and jam? hahaha

  • WOW amazing man 5/5!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Great sound and great playing, man !

hey, can you give any kind of advice or tips

    to this novice guitar learner?

I will really appreciate any kinds of tips.

BTW, I am spending over an hour watching your

    covers, and you know what?

I take the last SAT of my senior year this

    Saturday!!

    WTF!!

  • Practice...and don't forget your SAT. A good education will enable you to get a better job wich might equal more guitars in the long run! -BC

  • u shud try to become a youtube partner

  • I don't even know what that is...LOL -BC

  • think u get a little money for ur veiws money

  • That sounds OK...I'll check it out further sometime. -BC

  • sounds good. almost surfy..

  • Thanks! -BC

  • Jimi tuned his guitars down a half note. (Eb).

His stringset was 10,13,15,26,32,38. Sometimes using a "Hawaiistring" as the 3rd (G).

Try it out, it works fantastic on a strat.

  • True...he did but not for every tune. I play most everything in standard tuning because it can be done this way and when I did play live more, it was easier for me to just deal with one tuning. Thanks for watching! -BC

  • That was real great how you tune your guitar

jimi hendrix how tuned his guita?

    5 stars!!!

  • Thanks! -BC

  • I want that cream picture!!!!beautiful guitar

  • Thanks! I still have a few of those posters from the Madison Square Garden shows. Cream was great! -BC

  • Great sound...very inspiring! Jimi would've been proud of you.

  • Thanks! -BC

  • Nice, very nice. You are very good. Someday I hope to play like that.

  • Thank You! I have a long way to go as far as I'm concerned. I hope eventually to have the time to sit down and really get serious about it. -BC

  • One of my favourite songs from Jimi played perfectly by you. cheers mate :)

  • Thanks! -BC

  • wow, completely awesome work

nice touch with the thing behind you ;)

    rock on

  • Very cool cover. Congratulations.

  • Thanks! -BC

  • thats excellent, best on youtube

  • Thanks! -BC

  • hey, whats that cool guitar in the back?

    BTW, very good cover

  • Thanks! The Guitar in the background is a Rickencacker 360-12 VP...and behind me is my Gibson Les Paul Custom. -BC

  • great cover at 2:10 is that your mother in law banging on the door or whammy bar work?

  • Whammy! My mother-in-law is dead. -BC

  • just great. Buddy, say... What kind of amp do you use?

  • Thank You! I used a Fender Hot Rod DeVille 4-10 on this video. -BC

  • wow. Can I ask a question? what do you think of fender blues junior amps? I really like your tone and it sounds somewhat similar.

  • Thanks! They are good amps in my opinion. -BC

  • haha makes me smile good stuff.

  • Thanks! -BC

  • Wow, that makes me want to take up the guitar.

  • Thanks! -BC

  • What amplifier are you using here? You got perfect tone.

  • Thanks! On this one I used my Fender Hot Rod DeVille with 4-10" speakers. -BC

  • sounds perfect to me, how fun it must be for you to play jimi's music

    GREAT JOB SOUNDS ABSOLUTLEY PERFECT!

  • amazing

  • Thanks! -BC

  • Wow man I'm on a good trip right now.

  • Tone's a bit sharp and biting...should be more mellow to my ears

  • Sorry it bit you...LOL

  • This is a great version the tone is just spot on !!

  • Thank You! It's nice to hear from Jimi, Stevie Ray, and Yngwie all rolled into one. I like that name. You've done some great videos yourself! -BC

  • man that was just great, i like that in your covers your sound is very clean,,,no bluffing going on with a bunch of effects..not that effects werent apart of jimis music..but you still have to PLAY the notes...good job

  • Thanks! -BC

  • Brilliant cover. perfect sound. the only complaint is the riff at 00:17 is off. but everything else is perfect. nice job

  • you got me floatin'

  • that was great!

  • Thanks! -BC

  • i hate it when you use your whammy bar

  • Ronaldinho91981 - Are you serious? You either don't know this particular Hendrix tune or you don't recognize true talent and musicianship when you see it...or both...maybe I should save that response until you post your own cover version of this one. Let me know when that is. :)

Buddy - A request... Red House!!! Or the Door's Peace Frog, or better yet, someday you should show the YouTube audience your ability to make a set of drum skins smoke like no other...keep them coming!

  • I actually don't like it either...but I don't know the original song that well, so maybe thats how Jimi did it.

  • I think it is an excellent cover throughtout and when considering someone is plugged directly into an amp with little to no studio effects, pedals, etc., it captures relavant aspects of the song using the whammy bar...just my take, but regardless no doubt, Hendrix, and in this, Buddy, take us all into orbit around the 51 second point...all around awesome sound!

  • great cover sounds great, can u help me out and tell me where you got the tabs?

  • Thanks! No Tabs, I don't bother with them because I play by ear. -BC

  • shoot thats great

  • lol that freakin sic cover

good job man like the guitar n love the projection

  • Thanks! - BC
