Hi Rose, Lovely projects. I have a question when creating a "Shabby chic' look are there any principles, rules, steps to succesfully accomplish the sc look? And doing shabby are you suppose to use soft, light colors as oppose to dark/brights? I'm trying to find out the best answer/explanation to acquiring the shabby look.

Beautiful work! How do you do that technique where there is a tear in the paper with another paper peeking behind it? Do you have two sets of paper one on top of the other, or do you just put a piece where the tear is? And how do you get the paper to roll back so nicely and stay that way?

@tammyw5456 Hi. Thanks for the nice comment. I added just enough piece of a designer paper behind the tear. and this whole layout is adhered on a medium weight chipboard so it's nice and sturdy for display purpose. And i used the end of my art brush to curl the tear. No need to glue it down, it'll usually stay curled but you can also spray some starch.
