  • Also, I don't find the updates on momma zen distracting, things like that are what attract other to personal vlogs and blogs..

what about updates on boo kitty?

  • If people follow your FB instructions at high enough frequency,, FB will likely start caching and cross referencing data in the background. All these companies like to pretend traffic and user-data isn't a fraction of their revenue..

  • I love Face book , have connected with so many friends from my past, and a couple of family members I lost track of, around 40 yrs ago. I try to stay on top of the security, but I tend to NOT sign out, which I will be doing from now on. I usually don't post anything derogatory, others on my friends list do. But I cannot control how they think. So hopefully I am not judged by that. But then again, I could be. Thoughts for you and Mama Zen.

  • Respects to Mumma Zen and Bill Cosby wants his sweater back :)

  • One last thing Zen, it's funny, but any of my friends I have made on FaceBook are not people who I go to Church with(& not because I hardly go to Church)& while I know alot of my childhood friends are on FaceBook they have not accepted my friend requests interrestingly enough. It might be because I don't use my real name.

  • I actually enjoy FaceBook to keep in touch with my friends & I enjoy being to express myself & see what others think. I also have a webcomic I post on FaceBook. Now I have left FaceBook a couple times myself, but have decided to stay because that's where my friends are.I did leave MySpace as well as Twitter, but mainly because I wasn't using them as much.

  • I am ok with facebook,I just don't put up everything about what I'm doing everyday.Good vlog,I hope your mom is doing well....

  • I've left Facebook many times over the years.

I follow only 1 rule on line... Don't post anything you don't want to be discovered. I learned this back in high school over 10 years ago... Like nothing serious happened back then or anything but a site got put up and then some people changed a few things and my name was attached to it and I got into a fair bit of trouble. Since then I think about what I type, what I record, what I post in general.

  • I don't necessarily care if Facebook is tracking my pages, but I think the real privacy protection should be focused on hiding from trolls, stalkers, and as you discussed.. employers.

But just as how YouTube figured out that there is no money in people making videos for each other, Facebook has to make ways of making money off of us to keep it free.

  • I don't trust Facebook, Google, or anyone else. You heard about what OnStar was doing, didn't you? Did you also hear about the cable companies that were putting cable boxes with microphones in customers' homes ?...

  • Trusting a commercial website with all your personal stuff and then think nothing happens with it is very stupid. Illegal or not, they have to much information already and how do you control them ?

  • This is just the beginning - It's all about control. Too many companies even REFUSE access unless you have a Facebook-account etc. Google+ will be a 'savoir' untill Google+ goes crazy as well. I think people need to stop following 'hypes' with community-sites etc. And stick to their mail, MSN, ICQ, forums etc. It's getting really out of hand, hehe.

  • great vlog, I learned a few things. please don't hesitate in mentioning how mamma zen is, I think most are interested and care.

  • Zen You have some good points and advice . My self I am getting away from FaceBook and yes I have joined Google + but I am a little leery about it . I have nothing to hide but it dose get to be a pain that people can get you Info and they can miss read it and twist it and make it something that it was never meant to be .

  • @MuzzleMike it doesnt matter if you have something to hide, its none of their business.

  • @boedhaspeaks I under stand and that is why I am backing off of FaceBook and I am a little hesitant with Google plus .

  • I see your points and it is a bit scary. I've really liked Facebook, I've found it easier to reconnect with friends and family. It also doesn't take a year and a day to load someone's page (like MySpace if someone went nuts with their page >.<). Important stuff to think about though. Thanks for posting the video.

  • I'm also sorry to let you know that EVERYTHING you've EVER deleted from Facebook is still on their database. You can only actually hide stuff. Facebook still see everything. Look into the face that Facebook's early investors all seem to have come from CIA/NSA related organisations. Watch this watch?v=DIGdWsxHJlM

  • It's been way too long since I've watched one of your videos, Archer.

  • @KissMeImPunk Glad to see you have watched this one and I hope you will catch future ones. =)
