Excellent video report! Coincidentally I was on B-18310 too back in 2007 on the same route but under the flight number of CI662. Brilliant quality of the pictures and videos and I enjoyed every minute of it! And a big LOL to the announcement by the pilot!

The flowers at Changi are nice indeed. Its a small touch to make the atmosphere better. Its still a big wish to pay a visit to Singapore. Very excited to see Changi Airport in the future, by many seen as one of the best in the world.

CI was my first carrier to fly long haul from Amsterdam to Bangkok. I had mixed experiences, special to the not so happy flight crew. To bad at the end some where just rude to the passengers. I like the Airbus A330 layout with 2-4-2 seat layout. Food presentation was very nice! they surly improved on that one.

We already booked a flight (wishful thinking it's China Airlines but we want to spend the holiday on a shoe string so we settled for Cebu Pacific LOL)and still checking out which hotels to consider and Fullerton's on our list :)

@heartbleedsgreen ohh! the one i stayed at wasn't bad though its furnishing is abit old. I recommend staying at a hotel near the MRT station though because the sights in Taipei are all quite dispersed! Anyhow! hope you have a great anniversary there! Taipei's a really vibrant city!

@cairns65 i think they stopped their MEL flights, now its just codeshare with Qantas. It used to be B744 daily both to Sydney and Melbourne for BA but these days its just a daily B772ER to SYD... quite sad

Stellar report as usual. By the way a close friend of mine had a similar experience with the crew of China Airlines. He has vowed not to travel with them again and went as far as lodging a formal complaint. He still has not heard anything back in a form of a response or acknowledgement . @TakeNumber48 yup i was! i think being mortified was the word! because i was sitting there and observing how the crew were treating passengers after the meal service... I couldn't believe they were the same crew who smiled and said 'xie xie!' to anything you ask of them during meal service (like when I asked for apple juice during meal service, the crew actually said 'xie xie' as she handed me the drink)! But I agree with you! generally, taiwanese service standards are really quite good!

Quick question though, why must Singaporean males notify the government of their international travels? i assume it has something to do with military service.

@ice8009 yups.. we have to go through 2 years of National Service.. =/ even after that, we have to notify the government every time we travel out of the country in case they called us up for trainings.
