Sometimes the best note is one left unplayed :) Take a look at Bloodstained Cross for example. A riff should be about setting a good groove for the song, be recognisable, and not trying to compete with the other musicians in the band for the same spot in the mix.

I'm not too sure on how I feel about this band. Yes, it's pretty epic that you have a female screamer; however, it's all the same kind of vox. I have very high expectations for screamers in bands... I don't want a guy drunk screaming in a mic the whole night when I go to see them. I want a variation between high and low octave screams. Cradle of filth (nymphetaime album style) fluxed the crap out of one dudes voice... not necessarily my favorite though. I'll give it a thumbs up though,
