  • Pretty goog! The young lady is perfect and the young man serius... The tempo and andamento are perfect. The b*stards above and beneeth dont know about music a nickel. An orchestra will perform in a diferent tempo than a piano for 4 hands. Also you can listen Bernstein conducting the 9th of Beethoven three, four, five minuts faster than Karajan right here, at You Tube, right now!!!

  • LOVE IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • great...i'll add this version to my jogging playlist next to the Prodigy and RATM songs....So for the next time you sit down to play this - just slow the fu*k down will ya?...

  • Eh, don't blame them for the fast beat. Maybe the sheetmusic was written like that, though the pianst could change the tempo at his/her discretion

  • I liked 0:47 - 0:58 The climax part.

  • but with an exquisite guitar solo....

  • For a totally irreverent improv on this classic piece....

  • Shoddy!!!

  • wtf? Morning rush hour?

  • Morning mood after 2 pots of strong ass coffee.... jesus christ, slow the fuck down. It's called "Morning mood", do you feel like this when you watch the sunrise!?

No, you feel tranquil and still half sleepy.

  • this is unislamic ok

  • Comment removed

  • tooooooooo fast

  • the original one is better

  • também não é uma pedra vermelha mas é um refrigerante de chocolate com sal e vinagre defumado dando gargalhadas sombrias na esperança de ser reconhecido por arrogancias autoritárias na vergonha do prazer... e ser feliz??? como?...??

  • That is not a waltz for the kindergarden!!

  • posso comentar ou é restrito?

  • wasn't the piece on piano ?!?!? any way it's a kinda hard piece ..I had a solo on the clarinet..

  • great performance! though this piece should be played in a more lagoto and smooth like a beautiful sun rise but i think you guys did a great job on this on seconds 1:01 and 1:42 over all great performance.

  • since when does the sun rise as fast as you played this? slow it down!

  • @MrPipitone haha soo true!!

  • Where would I be able to find sheet music for this version?

  • Beautifully played but a tad rushed; this is more like a sunrise with the speed quickened (can't think of the actual term).

  • @EmilyBearfan Time lapse... :D

  • @EmilyBearfan i think the term you are looking for is lagoto

  • @MrJACKDAVIS1234 No...legato means smooth. Maybe andante or adagio...less fast... lol.

  • Yeas it's too fast!!!! This song is just the morning that rises in the horizon, it cant be played that fast!!!

  • I've spent the last two weeks learning this song on my saxophone... playing it... hearing it... dreaming about it and to have it ruined by these... piano rushers... grrr.

  • Terrible interpretation! Destroys all the magic

  • ouch

  • Check that little kid who also play that song very good

  • Morning wood?...

  • neither one of you look like you're enjoying yourselves...how bout a SMILE?! and he needs to stop looking at his hands the whole time, she does good at looking at music and hands but he doesnt. and the whole song needs to be more legato, but there was good contast in the sound loudness, but no need to beat the piano.

    but overall well done

  • @jaimeeee1789 They're obviously just concentrating hard.

  • Sorry for being childish, but FUCK YOU!

You two really know how to mess up a beautiful song.

Since when did it became logic to knock the shit out of your piano in a upbeat, when the song is named MORNING MOOD? Who wants that shit in the morning? It is supposed to rise in to our brain softly and smoothly!!!

  • HAHAHAHAHA this says wood

  • I think, I know what they meant, but it´s far too less staccato for that.

this way it´s even too fast for a rocker like me :-!

  • She looks very nice but not very pleasd to play... where's emotion??

  • Morning wood? PFFAAAWHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

  • @IceMakKneeGrows Mood. But still, lol.

  • Too staccato for me xD

  • Awful; sounds like a cheap windup toy. Way too fast, not intricate enough

  • this remined me when I was 7 years old....

  • i need the music sheet for this

  • ...she reminds me of Kristen Stewert.....just the way she looks, ha; :3

  • kiss

  • Fail...I've seen many people play even

Ore dificult versions of this song by themselves...It takes 4 hands for these goons to play it and still not play it good.

  • idk about all these criticisms, it sounded and looked pretty cool to me.

  • Deficient... no actually, absent pedal! No sonority or voicing whatsoever. None of the parts are brought out above any of the others. That beautiful crescendo in the work is completely omitted, just a very sudden, rather startling jump from soft to loud. Good idea to play this lovely piece and accurate finger-work but an interpretive disaster!

  • Great piece (I think this is the Adolf Ruthardt transcription of the whole suite, part of which my friend and I performed). However, whilst the notes are accurate, this performance is void of all expression and feeling. This would be acceptable in a Bach Fugue but not in Grieg, least of all one of his most expressive, passionate and beautiful works!

  • Wauw.

  • Much delighted to hear a new and "morning fresh" rendition of such a great Nordic morning mood from a pair of promising pianists! Long to hear your performance together again of Gershwin's and Stravinsky's works!

  • they play the song great, but too fast

  • @MrMadful Agreeee they play it to fast and so its makes it so ugly

  • great song, not so great arangement...

the sound quality couldve been better too

  • Greig played very fast. It was thought by some of his contemporaries that his metronome must be broken or out of calibration. Nevertheless, this interpretation lacks any "soul."

  • this arrangement isn' t perfect. there are problems with the pedal and the full sound in the bass.

  • yes, by Grieg.

  • I like this song, but, I think, there is nothing special in this song. There's no variation, no pedal, and too fast..

  • I don't play piano but I also noticed that something was missing. What would the pedal make out of this? I read that it's just used to hold a chord or a tone while the key isn't pressed anymore?

  • This needs pedal work... Where's the beautiful crescendo?

  • the girl is pretty

  • does anybody know when this song was made??

  • Written in 1875.

  • a very nice and famous piece of music. but I think I like an orchestral version of "Morning Mood" better than this piano version. but it's still very nice anyway. thanks for the video.

  • Filmed at a piano recital of a 2nd year piano student and his teacher. I'm impressed.

  • Well played in it's own right. Not reflective of the original though.

  • i guess that it is okayy, but the pedal needs to be used in it, to give it more boost, if you will. also it is allegretto, but needs to be played slower than that! ALOT SLOWER!!! but kinda good, even tho i'm not really impressed with it. (: keep up the practice.

  • i have played this , where is the pedal in it?? too fast aswell.

  • too fast slow it down, add a pedal

  • WHERES THE PEDEL the song to me sounds horrible without the pedel. VERY BAD JOB U TWO!

  • It is not good! Where is the pedal?? More feeling, more music!!

  • I read a lot of negative comments about this rendition, but my biggest complaint is that "Morning" needs a huge orchestra behind it.

This version is fine if it's attached to a music box.

  • disgusting

  • Im not usually that straight but now I have to agree with you :(

  • you said it.. disgusting, much too fast and ... just make it stop!

  • STOP IT! Its horrible.

I wouldn't even take this as my ringtone, i heard midi files that had more felling and passion...

    yuck.

  • u guys suck....honestly...no feeling for the pace or treatment of the pieve. i hate theses goddamn student recitals where every one gets all dressed up - its like a celebration of mediocrity.

smoke a joint and feel the music

  • The sound quality on this makes it sound like a midi file.

  • Yeah, that's shitty. At the big crescendo, it's like an unsatisfied orgasm

  • very good^^

  • Haha :O

  • way, way to fast. just because you can play it fast doesn't mean that you should. incorrect style and interpretation

  • I agree with dream, I've been to norway too and your playing of this song is incorrect and not suited to how it is meant to be played.

  • I agree with EVERYBODY saying it`S TOO FAST -

have you EVER BEEN in the norwegian mountains when morning breaks? I doubt it....

  • I totally agree... it made me laugh, but i still agree.

  • Your comment really brings my mind to think how much I take that stuff for granted... Norway is indeed beautiful. But so is a lot of parts of Germany. Our nature is not so different.

  • don't rush!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Hmm.. It's too fast! I play it too with my teacher, but we play it with more pedal and way slower! I'm sorry, I just don't really like it!

  • wow. brilliant.

  • O_o C'est possible en piano ? En + une partition à quatre main ? BRAVO !!

  • Too fast!!

  • this song is too simple....pedal should be used

  • nice playing, but you need of course more pedal, and it could be little slower, any way well done!

  • u suck!!

  • The most important thing is that they dont use the pedal and that sucks.

  • the girl is moving going with the flow, (but she's reading lines, obviously, lol) and the guy is just stiff, angry looking and just staring at the piano... Look i personally will go with the flow without reading (read only when I need to, difficult parts)...

  • Whatever, she's hot.

  • I personally loved this piece and how they play it. They add a light and airy aspect to a piece that can sometimes feel too heavy when played too slow.

Also maybe they were taking some pointers from Glen Gould who was notorious for changing the tempo of a piece of music.

  • Maybe they should decrease the speed to moderato or in adagio. So we can get the ~ feeling. Just like the ~ symbol. Calm.

  • (fightpollution) being as my comment was written in the evening after a 14 hour day i very much doubt it!

  • well exactly, you were exhausted from the 14 hour day and needed to relax, hence it was too fast for you

  • playing as if they want to get home for there tea........and quickly...shame as it is a wonderful peice of music

  • Maybe their mornings are busier than yours

  • Yes it sounds like they need to get it done, like having fast sex before the twins have to be fed before the 7.48 train to works leaves!

  • It's to fast in my opinion... a good performance, but way to fast. So only 3 out of 5 stars from me

  • snifff sobsob, i can't even play a song on a piano :(

  • I feel like this song is supposed to be calm and peaceful, but it's SOOO fast! To me, it seems like they are trying to show their talent be speeding it up, so it seems harder. I wasn't loving this one...

  • really fast...! lack emotion... you have to practise more... don't play hust the notes, put some feeling in it.! thanks..xx

  • I cannot agree more with the other comments really needs to slow down and as others have mentioned more feeling and emotion,

    good luck keep practising

  • they play good but it's like they're gonna ran out of keys.just way too fast.

  • She's beautiful.

  • too fast for me

  • Slow down...this isn't a friggin race. Play it from the heart not your over excited libido you freaks

  • Too fast and not enough emotion. Such a beautiful piece shouldn't have been rushed.

  • well, i think this piece is for duet... you know, 2 people on the piano, at the same time...

  • its good!!

but i get the feeling that you're late for work...

beautiful morning and ur in a hurry?

  • i agree with you. this could be more beautiful if they slowed down a bit.

  • extremely fast, not v pretty, use your pedal!

  • way too fast and more pedals are needed. give it a good sound. also you kinda stumbled over the keys a little.

  • Too fast and needs a much FULLER, RICHER sound, More Pedal!

  • we played that very slow..

but it's beautiful.. i love the sound of pianos..

  • We have to play it faster on school! but this is nice

  • Faster? Its still to fast in this Video!

  • yeah they seem to be in a hurry, a little too fast I think...

  • Not bad. Liked it. They look like just maried. :D

  • Yeah they do!

    They're great.

  • Good job!

Though I have to agree... The feel of Grieg's compositions is definitely anything but happy. The people playing in this video failed to accurately capture the mood of the piece, which is what makes music what it is: MUSIC.

  • slow down !!!

  • Playing it fast makes it seem like a whole different song

  • ok...

  • um... a little too fast.

  • so good !! :D

    congratulations!

  • i agree with GLQSAX.... thats not the original and it sucks

  • I agree with both you and GLQSAX.

this is a really bad attempt in replicating one of the worlds greatest components greatest songs.

  • This is how it is on the music.

I got it and thats how it is but not duet...

  • NO! No! No!

Morning of carnival? or morning in Manhattan?

    Sorry, but...

    Grieg is not happy!

  • Wow thats so great...

  • nice song :)

  • cool
