It's not the boyfriends fault for the abuse situation, it's the girls fault. Anybody can act however they want including guys, the problem is girls always choose to date them and choose to walk into their lives. For example, I see psychotic thugs and freaks in the train station but I ignore them. If I were to talk to them or say something, there's a good chance that I could be abused. Similar to boyfriend/girlfriend situations.

my ex... hit me if i showed too much skin in his eyes. , like if i wore shirts or tank tops. .. if i talked to another guy.. Looking back i feel stupid, I mean... he would tell me i was worthless so i started drinking until i forgot my name. & would tell me to kill myself.. & when i started cutting he just hit me harder. After we broke up i stopped cutting & drinking everyweekend.

Im in one now and it real hard to just leave. I must have lefgt about six times and end up coming back because financially i didnt have. Im only 19 and we must have had about 8 police calls about it but when it was time to press charges i couldn't but i really loved him but not the things he was doing. kinda complicated.

I know because i was in this situation and i have no one in the end but my sister that never gave up on me, even when i kept going back. She helped me through it all, and i advise you to stick with your friend no matter how stupid you think she is for staying. She's going to need you.

Im in tears watching this. This describs my last relationship perfectly. Things were SO great at the start but once he had me he switched. I couldnt talk to a guy without him saying i was cheating behind his back with them, he kept me from my friends, told me no guy would want me but him and said if i left he would kill himself and it would be all my fault. Finally it got phyical, and thats when i left. Its still hard but im getting stronger everyday. This video made me feel like i wasnt alone.

thank you for that video. i'm currently reading a book by dr. jill murray "but he never hit me" this book is about non physical abuse, i was in an emotionally abusive relationship with my sons father. the first things some of these girls mention (jealousy, constantly needing to know where you are, what you're doing, controlling who you speak to) are abuse in itself before the physical even started. please remember that, and as dr.murray says LOVE IS A BEHAVIOR. not words, not a sorry.
