How I always interpreted:

While heartbroken, she wishes she could make the moon her lover (Hey there Luna/she's so white, she's so clean). She went to a drug dealer, who has a parallel imagery as a witch doctor (told by doctor, make a figure, needles stick in her, she'll be your Luna). She then injects herself, alternate image of a voodoo doll. While tripping, it is just her alone with the moon, like Yuri Gagarin, and she wants that back (I thought I was Yuri G, bring back my memory)
