I am surprised at the number of glowing comments about Pilar Lorengar in this recording. She sings sharp from her first entrance, and her voice trembles in a very unpleasant way. I would have to hear more of her to make any more comments about her in general, but this excerpt from La Traviata doesn't do her much credit.

I have listened to Lorengar for the first time. She's most pleasant to the ear. Yet, I should admit that I like Aprile Milo's rendition better. But that is probably more a matter of taste then technicality.
