  • Are those gray brake cables aftermarkert? kuz i have the same ones on my 250r

  • @ttr7rider Yes, they are Motion Pro

  • @Johnnysshop thanks! i was watchin ur vids then i went and looked at my bike and i recognised them haha

  • thanks for the commercial!

  • i have a 07 crf250r and ive never bled the forks, my forks are dual cartage forks so?? do they have bleaders cause i think mines just rebound adjusters

  • @tyronky Still should have bleeders at the top.

  • you need to post vids of you riding that bike

  • @zwxe11 Yeah, I know. Work has kept me busier than I had hoped.

  • Could you make a vid of how to adjust the front shocks to a riders weight ,or if you already have a vid for that could you send me a link(i cant find any)

    Thanks

  • @themadbuzzer I have a fork rebuild video but there really isn't much adjustment for your actual weight without changing the spring and revalving. You can adjust the rebound and whatnot but it's more for riding conditions rather than weight. I'll make one on the forks soon.

  • Okay quick question, what are some of the advantages of bleeding the air out of the forks? And is there any disadvantage by doing it every ride?Really great video!

  • @mxryder0458 If you don't they fill up with air and aren't as smooth as they should/could be. I mean it's not gonna take a c level rider and make him an A level but it is noticeable. Every other ride is probably fine.

  • are you in alberta?? or is rocky mountain just a company?

  • @landonu12 No, I'm in the states. It's just a company (not the bike company). :)

  • do you hold down the button until you here the air stop coming out?

  • @Norman3ify Yeah

  • do you have a video of you changing your oil on your yz250f?

  • @GreenYZ18 Not really but I have a teardown video where I drain it and a build video of adding oil..

  • Great video thanks!

  • @Mike01010010 Thanks!

  • i went to let the air out of the forks and when i srewed the bolt back in it stripped the inside but not the bolt...would it be oksy to drill new threads without take ing the top off?

  • @112KTMrider I'd take it off. You don't want to get metal shavings down in there.

  • I've riden my bike alot never once bled my forks so should I do this any differently

  • @EZkill5 No, same way.

  • Yea that's what I meant like when u do all your Maintnence thanks man good shit

  • Thanks man and u should bleed it like after every ride ???

  • @Erikltp Before every ride.

  • Hey good stuff... How often should u change the fork fluid ?? I ride a Crf 450 2008 what do u think and I mostly ride on outdoor motocross ... Thank u

  • @Erikltp Depends on how often you ride/race. I always did it about once a year. If you're racing hard every weekend, might want to change it once a month/ every 4 races or so.

  • what does bleeding your forks do and do you have to do anything after this is done and just go ride??

  • @brandon184839 Let's the air out. Yep, just go ride!

  • on one of my fork tubes my bleeder bolt is under my handlebars and i can only get to it if i remove handlebars can you please make a video on how to move the position of the bleeders

  • @ben1996ful I'll try to get one up. Basically you have to loosen the bolts on the upper and lower triple clamps and spin the fork to the position where you can get to your bleeders.

  • @GinoJerry86 If you want to clean your bike the right way use slick offroad wash.

  • great vids, very clear quality and directions, just had a question. the bike in this video is super clean, how do you clean the bike so well? any spesific detergents or solvents?, do you power wash the bike?. i can never get my bike looking as clean as yours! thanks.

  • @GinoJerry86 Well this was right after a complete rebuild so... LOL... I normally don't powerwash though. I'm always afraid of ripping the decals off. I wash with a garden hose, super hot soapy water, and Simple Green. I use a lot of cleaning brushes as well.

  • doesnt it contain some type of gas in there?

  • @TheRedBull46 No, the rear shock does.

  • @Johnnysshop Ok Thank you !

  • Hey i was starting my yz 125 and the kickstarter shaft broke and how much will that cost to get it replaced....

  • nice vids man.

  • @LASTTOPGUN Thanks, I appreciate it!

  • Can you bleed the back to? Just wondering cause my back suspension pops up instantly. Do i need a new suspension or do i just need to bleed them?

  • @killdozer30 No way to bleed. You can adjust rebound but more than likely it needs rebuilt. Sounds like the nitrogen has leaked out.

  • My forks are all hard the seals are fine there not leaking but over the winter it sat and now there stiff? i have a 2007 KX250F over the summer i had them done by Factory Connection Re-valve/Rebuild and springs so im not sure why they are stiff? maybe they need a oil change?

  • @kx85kid12 Usually with the oil they will be softer. Bleed them first and take it for a spin. If it was kept on a stand, it may just need to be ridden to loosen them back up

  • good video THANKS! im a motocross newbie and thats explained alot:-)

  • @kingj200000 Glad I could help!

  • ummm do you oil them havent rode my kx85 in a while and been wondering do you oil them and if so how?

  • @TheBowlingboy300 No, if they are low chances are they need new seals. I have some fork rebuilding vids on here.

  • Thanks for all of the how to videos. And your bike looks awesome now after all the work you have done to it.

  • @kx250fmotocross Thanks, I appreciate the feedback.

  • i just recently got back into dirtbikeing as an adult and im in the process or learning tech and maintenance of my bike so theres alot to learn but your videos help emensly. i was having issues of forks and air, and had no idea of how to bleed them, i didnt know how simple it was, thanks much for your info in these things, great job.

  • @timeforgear Thanks, I appreciate the comments!

  • Nice vid, I am afraid to use them though, I know a few people who have had them break off and it is no fun.

By the way, just a little detail, you NEED to bleed the forks when the bike is off the ground and the suspension has no load on it. Bleeding the forks with the suspension even slightly compressed will create a vacuum in the forks and lead to poor performance.

  • @kawirider338 I've always bled them off the ground but I as told a long time ago as long as there is no compression on the forks (loaded but no sag) it was okay in a pinch. On the trail, no way to lift, etc... You're explanation does make more sense though. Sounds good to me!

  • i got them too there so simple to use very handy

  • @TeoZMuff313 Yeah, not needed but nice that all you have to do is push a button!

  • Does that make the forks softer?

  • @gentrymx3 No. just allows you to bleed them

  • How do u make the front forks harder because mine are too soft

  • @qball350 Stiffer springs, more oil, etc... I have a set of fork rebuild videos on here that explain most of it.

  • easiest install ever.... do you have a blog? you should get one. and thanks for the website!

  • @twistedkeys1 No blog, I'm pretty boring. LOL

  • any riding vids coming soon?

  • @mo2tercross Not till spring :( Still waiting on some gear, etc... Hopefully work will settle down a bit by then.
