  • 7 people have no life

  • This is probably one of my favourite songs of theirs.

  • Last year i was in a bad place. i fled to San Francisco, i don't know why, it was just calling me. can you guess which song brought me back to life?

  • a relaxing break from my usual metal/rock i listen to. i like to explore different genres, and alternative seems to be a good one

  • Honestly I enjoyed The Suburbs much more than their previous albums - (I enjoyed those immensely as well, obviously!). The album really just deals with the longing and nostalgia that comes with growing up and realizing that you can't experience the world how you used to.

  • This song just cured my disease!

  • @TheNewJrl Was the disease that you'd never heard good music before? :D

  • "Please forgive me, because the spark is not within me. I snuffed it out, before my mom walked in my bedroom."

... hits way too close to home

  • i genuinely feel bad for people who don't listen to arcade fire...lovin' the end part when the organ breakdown switches from a minor sound to a major sound..

  • Great thing about Funeral: A collection of depressing songs that you can dance to.

  • @lucasboden you're so right!!!! :P

  • This song does things to me... it's so awesome it makes me feel like i am floating away!

  • Legends in the making........AF

  • Seriously people SHUTTUP I'm trying to listen to a song here and not be distracted by retarded comments

  • seven persons read the title ( Pain of love )

    this is bad |:

but arcade fire, is the best rock indie band ^^

  • Wtf is this shit about Radiohead and Arcade Fire? do you idiots not listen to anything else? I came here because every magazine kept saying how good this band was, so Thought I should check them out and they are a pretty good band in comparison to the others, but Radiohead where never the best band of the 90's and from what I hear from the Arcade they are ok, but I have heard much better stuff from the last ten years. GET off of radiohead and Arcade Fires nuts! Listen to other stuff!

  • @tacosaucemafia Firstly, I didn't call you an idiot like you do. Secondly, of course there is other good music stuff from this century that I am listening to. Thirdly, I consider radiohead as a very significant and innovative band which has made some masterpieces. And finally, which is the other much better stuff (than Arcade Fire!!) that you have listened to the past 10 years?

  • @anoceanofgoodmusic90 Bro I did not call you an Idiot and I'm sorry if it came across that way, but the thing that bugs me is how on every arcade fire page it's always radiohead and Arcade fire like if those are the only bands that exsist, No one gives the other artists credit. Radiohead is a good group that I like, but what about The Flaming Lips or Massive Attack? There is so much good stuff out there, and no one really cares.

  • @anoceanofgoodmusic90 As far as better stuff that I have heard in the last ten years? that's easy, Outkast, Gnarls Barkley, Dizze Rascal, Broken Social scene, The Flaming lips, The Streets, At the drive in, Dj Shadow, the gorillas, Kanye west, The Mars Volta, the roots, D'angelo. That's my opinion, but I do like the arcade fire, they are good, and in comparison to some of the trash out there they are miles better. It's just people call them the greatest and refuse to listen to anything else.

  • @tacosaucemafia rariohead were one of the best 90's bands and still are one of the best. but i agree, people should diversify a bit more. there are other great records and bands too. for me arcade fire is the number 1 newish band though. they are ahead of everyone.

  • @roejogan8 I agree with you. btw Joe Rogan is cool.

  • Who did he say that there is not good music nowadays? There is first of all Arcade Fire that is music for our heart and also Radiohead that is music for our mind! Additionally, Arcade Fire is the only band that has no bad songs so far!

  • Wow, i am falling in love with this band, the beginning just makes me want to cry, and i don't know why. I think I want my life to fall apart just to have this music repair it <3

  • I am happy that Arcade Fire won their grammy, but I hope they feel the way radiohead did and basically say to themselves that they could care less about the grammy and continue making music for themselves and not for the masses. Once musicians stop writing music that has meaning to them emotionally then there is no point. There next album will tell us. After radiohead won for OK comp. they came back with Kid a and Amnesiac so hopefully Arcade fire comes back strong. I think they will

  • uh greenday is from Sanfransisco, not canada or england as many think.... they are just a pop/punk band that used to be solid and now sucks

  • sta canzone fa cagare!!

  • fuck!!

  • "You gotta be the one, you gotta be the way, your name is the only word that I can say!" Gosh this part just kills me. Every time. Chills.

  • They are still a great band, but this album is still by far the best thing they've ever done.

  • @mickaneso it's hard to match something THIS good, i mean seriously, this album is in my top 10 all time

  • Im going at their show of the 21... f**k yeah

  • @kingdavidtrialruns are you troll, or just stupid?

  • @stratocaster1996 Do you have any reason to believe that or are you just stupid?

  • actually i disagree with a few of these comments, i think this was their peak, suburbs all sounded the same and neon bible was too ambitious. Also theres alot of better canadian bangs, like greenday obviously

  • @kingdavidtrialruns like Nickelback?

  • OMG THIS IS THE SONG THAT MADE ME FALL IN LOVE W/ ARCADE FIRE!!!

  • this band deserve more than a Grammy, they are the most talented band i have ever seen. the way they all play any instrument is different class.

  • Hearts Bryan

  • nice outro

  • sounds some like the beatles right? with not offense n_n

  • @TDuD3 I could see that, and it's never an offensive thing to be compared to the beatles hahaha

  • fuckin epic

  • I love how Regine says "spark"

  • Mark this DATE! When I fell in LOVE with ARCADE FIRE. Ive never heard their songs but I have heard of them so today I decided to listen to them & THEY ARE AMAZING :,)

  • this song is so epic

  • my favourite ='(

  • I think I might have carved this song into my eardrums, just can't get it out of my head... <3

  • This is such a wonderful song. :]

  • pure emotion

  • this is so raw

  • I love how Win and Regine have these unique and genuine voices. They sing to release their feelings, emotions, and thoughts on things that had happened to them. They don't just sing to hear how pretty they sound.

  • their best song in my opinion. whenever i listen to this song, nothing can intrude on my happiness. if my house caught on fire, i would wait until the song was over until i panicked.

  • these comments are too emo.

  • @FlyingGold sshh emos are extinct. :D ye

  • @bayzplaya Maybe this song gets to him too... <3

  • cant knock these guys, they do the damn thing

  • lol I hear one of those wierd old western pianos

  • I dont get it, he sings this a little shakily every time its live, but on the suburbs live, he sings beautiful

  • Each Arcade Fire album has their own style. For example, The Suburbs' theme is the fact that each song continues into the next, splitting the album into groups of two. The theme here is that each song is slow but gets faster at the end.

  • wow I have found this song in the perfect moment...this music is awesome, it creates beautiful feelings in me...

  • @Ttothecify Oh, bullshit. They still create beautiful music. Just because they've won a Grammy doesn't change how great their music is.

  • @iammelion Agreed.

  • @iammelion

It's no where near as good as Funeral

  • @iammelion this motherfucker must be hipster as hipster can be.

  • @Ttothecify I agree with iammelion.

  • @Ttothecify Tell me about it! The Suburbs wasn't only like one of the greatest albums of all time... they won a grammy, they deserved it, get over it

  • @Ttothecify you Brain Dead buddy they will still make amazing music as long as they live, you wish you could make music like this. the most amazing CANADIAN!!!! band ever

  • I still tear up every time. The perfect song to sum up all heartache we feel in our teen years.

"I carved your name across my eyelids"

  • I snuffed it out before my mom walked in my bed room...sounds like a funny smelling smoke reference.

  • 'Funeral' is a near-masterpiece.

  • @latinodude85 near?

  • @latinodude85 Youre right is a near-masterpiece and The suburbs is a masterpiece!!! The greatest band in the world!!

  • @latinodude85 I'm not so sure ... as a lover of Schoenberg, Ives, and the rest I'd say this is damn good music and will most likely outlast much of what is produced today.

  • I have an eargasm when it reaches towards the end of the song. Amazing.

  • this song makes me cry....in a good way

  • love this song so much, i think we can all relate to it

  • What a wonderful song.

  • i just saw a secret show of them last night in L.A it was aaaamazing!!!!! front row

  • ... the only reason I hate this song is because it reminds me how much I love my ex ...

  • Win Butler won my respect with THIS. He's a legend.

  • best song on the album.

  • Im so in love with this song =)

  • favourite.

  • this was great live, they performed it at the 02 in london on december 1st.

  • I turned off all the lights, brought out my red light saber, and danced without abandon to this song. It was AWESOME.

  • @PretzelsWithBrie yuo mean you danced WITH abandon, not without it.

  • @PretzelsWithBrie RESPECT MAN

  • I've probably listened to this song about fifteen times today and it I've only been awake for about and hour and a half. I think this song is my favourite. I've had like five different favourite songs within the last couple of weeks and they are all Arcade Fire songs.

  • @micalishis my case completely, suburbs is amazing too

  • I love this song so much.

    Makes me so happy.

  • they played this last night (the 5th) at the O2 in Dublin!

  • @MatthewMulligan999 what an unbelievable gig!

  • I pray to god they play this song in glasgow when i go see them on the 12th.

  • @tai77

If they play the same setlist as they did at the 02 when I saw them on wednesday I think you will be in luck!

  • violins are the best

  • If you still want me, please forgive me. The Crown of Love is falling from me.

  • If you still want me eeeeeeEEEEEEEEEEEEEE

    Please forgive mee

    eeeeeeEEEEEEEE

    <3

  • this is the song that got me hooked. like a meth addict's very first hit

  • "I carved your name across my eyelids, you prayed for rain, I prayed for blindness"...OMG these lyrics tear me to pieces & the melody~~~~

  • Cancion sublime (=

  • The stuff of magic.

  • i love this song so much :1

  • That violin...

  • I wonder who those di-likers were.. I seriously dont get someone who dis-likes this

  • i bought this album a day ago without know wat arcade fire was and its brilliant and awesome i love it

  • Holy frick yes!!!!

  • Some people come into our lifes and left it behind without knowing

the impact it has on it.

  • @Jauckor so true & so well said~~~

  • @Jauckor *lives *leave *them *they *have. There's your grammar lesson for the day.

  • eargasm @ 3:40

  • @air90210 absolutly

  • This is on my top 3 favorite songs of all time... Mind you the other 2 are also Arcade Fire :P

  • I'm crying

    I swear I'm crying

  • this song just doesn't get old....

  • Great song one of my all time favourites

  • Your name is the only word that I can say.

  • The disco ending is so tragic, and the way Win screams in the background.

    *shivers*

    I love it.

  • my wedding song.

  • I carved your name accros my eyelids. epic song

  • 1 dislike... what a bastard.

  • 0 dislikes.... damn straight

  • @correip you jinxed it

  • epic win,..

  • This song is lovely,Amazing

  • I know there are other Arcade Fire 'Crown of Love' videos on YouTube, but there are only 26,086 views for this video! This is a masterpiece! Arcade Fire are so underappreciated. Come on people, get your acts together. One of the finest recordings in living memory.

  • One of the best bands formed in the twothousands thank god cos mostly crap came out from this cruddy millenia.

  • this song always reminds me a little of the beatles Oh Darling. lyrically they're nothing alike, it's just the rises and falls in the melody i guess. so strange. i love both songs :)

  • @ChickenChild88

Ha, you're right. I never noticed that before.

  • @ChickenChild88 i think that's because both songs are written in the 3/4 time signature (a waltz) and have that post-chorus buildup

  • @youareboredumb TECHNICALLY 6/8 (sorry, I just had to say that) :P

But yeah it is similar to Oh Darling in those ways. Both cracking songs!

  • @mooneymusic i've got my issues distinguishing between the two sometimes, thanks for the correction :)

  • @youareboredumb *6/8 time signature

  • this song should have so many more views

  • I think of all the songs on Funeral, this one is the most enduring. I mean, it's impossible for the whole album to still make me feel like it did back in '04/05, esepecially since I listened to it so much, but this one still leaves a lump in the throat.

  • gli arcade fire sono il massimo dell'intensità musicale, il miglior gruppo di sempre, non sono il primo a dirlo. Attendo impaziente il prossimo album (in autunno?)

  • Wow, a song hasn't had a such a powerful effect on me like this in a long time. I don't know why, but it filled me with fear and made my stomach clench

  • Wow, this song is a journey. Near the end you look back on where you were when it started...and...where you are now...

  • it's the most romantic song ever...

  • Spectacular

  • pretty song...

  • probably my favorite song on the album next to wake up

  • @PinkShirtVL personally i like this song better than wake up but i think my favorite song of theirs will always be cars and telephones

  • so good

  • They must have invoked the ghost of Roy Orbison for this song.

  • I've listened to this song a thousand times, and frankly it crushes me every time.

  • @portersthumb The violins at 3:42

  • @portersthumb so imagine this played Live........

  • @portersthumb ugh, stop trying to sound profound

  • @SclafaniBagni He's sounding real. Most people who love this kind of music probably talk more poetic, metaphorical or intelligent.

  • @MyBeautifulZygote He's sounding affected and thoroughly blasé

  • @SclafaniBagni Well, you both like Arcade Fire,so the problem should be solved.

  • This song ALWAYS gets me. :')
