  • If the music doesn't get you, the laser eye will!

  • Nice phrasing ... check out Ralph Kirkpatrick's version ...

  • 心が癒される演奏です。

    I Thank you

  • My old teacher used to say that "the notes are the starting point" ...i.e. they're a launchpad and providing the artist doesn't damage the musicality of the piece then it's acceptable. We've moved a long way from the stop-changing days of the 'Fifties and given this guy's talent and level of musicianship his view of the music appears perfectly valid; he does rearrange the repeats but to good effect.

  • A wonderful recording! It seems strange to me, however, that a harpsichordist would not play this piece with the repeats, as written. I would love to hear what harpsichordists think about this!

  • Das ist Energie pur. Was kann dagegen noch bestehen? B.A.C.H. - Der unangefochtene Titan im Komponistenhimmel. Die Autrichiennes werden da wieder mit ihrem Import Wolferl kommen.......... Aber bleibens da a mal a bittschön sachlich........... Und der French-Maestro (Christophe Rousset - harpsichord) ist schon sehr, sehr gut!!!!
