Trailer sucked. Personally though after making a trail account and doing mostly all the quests on tortage and killing strom, I found it to be a decent game. Much harder than World of Warcraft. WoW is easy mode compared to this.
Like others said, great graphics if you have the hardware to run it. I might get membership to explore more and continue leveling.
After my experiences on tortage I'd rate this a 3/5. Might buy a month just to get more of a feel for the game.

1) it has way over 200.000 active subscribers on all servers (includes US, Eu, Ru/Pol)
2) the loot drops are way than well thought and are never absent, you don't see a pig tail droping from a human beeing like it happens in wow exept if we talking about your father
3) @ the vendor you can sell /buy anything... hey i even saw your mom droping buy there @ free sale on discount

Plenty of people play the game. You won't be playing alone. It's currently going through a huge surge in player base. A lot of new players ever since the expansion and a lot of old players coming back.

Fair enough, it would of been bug ridden and probably pretty shoddy at launch(can't say from experience) but every MMO I've played at launch has been that way. Then later after about a year the game becomes much more polished and easier to play. I'm guessing that the 12 million people playing WoW haven't been playing since the game first launched so they wouldn't know, but it was a gong show at launch as well

I don't know what you guys are talking about. I played at the start and it had SO many problems but even so I loved it. Then I played it late last year and it improved alot. It will still never be that popular, I personally couldn't find many classes I wanted to play and the game just has too high requirements for most people. Its a stunning game graphically if you have the right hardware.

I really like this game and i like the combat system but with out other people its with fun, I want Pvps, partys, people that still monsters from you, that what makes it fun for me. If there are going to be or are more people i will play for sure.

@attraction8511 You start at lvl 1 and have to go through tortage again yes. Most of the content in Rise of the Godslayer is lvl 80 content. But there is one new lvl 20-40 zone added into the game. if you choose to play as a character from Khitai you will go to this area after you finish your destiny quest on tortage_
This is probably the best MMO out there right now, for this genre / type. AoC has come lightyears from what it was at launch. It's improved 110%.
I've been a longtime fan of FC, they don't always launch well, but they always take care of their games in the end. Once they get to a certain point, like now with AoC, the games just get better, more intense, and always offer a huge sandbox.
@haxsys Wow is the shizzle, may not have the graphics, but it's still the best mmo ever, it's so SUPERIOR towards all other games. I think the new star wars mmo wont even come close to beatin wow.

Well AOC is a a great game, and loads of fun, buut the only thing that pisses me off is the fact that you MUST follow the story line, you can't make your own choices to either Join Thoth - Amon or Fight with conan, + when you reach 80 there really isn't much more to do except start a new char or raid
@MGOplayer911 Robert E. Howard made that name. Funcom can't change the name, but Kithai hasn't been explored by Robert E. So they can make it their own place, and now they have had time so it will (I think, but not 100% confirmed) fully voiced and tier 4

And 2nd the majority of people are bored of Lightning, Lava and heads hanging from theyre shoulders ( It is to unrealistic). Age of Conan is a MMO that tries to keep it as realistic as possible.
I gived second try, and...its very good. Didnt seen any bugs atm, not see ghost towns ( ok sometimes is empty, when u are on the desert:)). And i Love combat system...not just clicking mouse, but mix of keys, gives me feeling real fight, not luck. AoC can still be great game, and in November they give 1 week free for each pay month. And i dont have top pc, but laptop on medium settings, and np at all. Looks great.
There is a lot of reason why its dying first ...the way 3 lvl 40 can take out a 80 ...also the gear that when you are 80 looks even worst then shit you get in tortage when you begin... also the game is fucking hard to run unless ur pc is new ...and also ...ppl wont play a game that require monthly payment if it doesnt worth it so ..maybe if it was free ...it would works...but otherwise...nah ..

wow your dumb all the servers stay at medium load most of the time with a few at high cap during peak hours. There are a lot more people playing it than Aion, EQ2, or anything besides wow that went main stream
If you look at the Xfire webpage for hours logged on a specific game within the past week or day... whatever it was i forgot now. Anyway, you can see that the hours played on Age of Conan are almost always Significantly higher than those of EQ2, Aion, LOTRO.
Fair enough, there are thousands of people who don't use Xfire, but a decent portion of people do so the hours logged can give you a bit of a helping hand :)
Enjoy your click and sit system as your character pretty much effortlessly kills ( and in WoW can even run to the target with a mouse click ) whatever mob you target.
AoC gets 1000 hours played per day, this is just using Xfire and a lot of people don't even use Xfire. So in no ways are the Servers empty and there are Ghosts Towns... You must be a WOW fan boy. WOW is fun but you dont have to lie to make AoC seem pathetic and Wow greater...
So is this any better than the first? cuz Aoc kinda sucked...not finished..bugs everywhere and just messy.. Aoc is having a bad time atm with less than 100k subscribers

Not a big fan. I tried it in the beginning and I didn't like the gameplay. Always looked pretty, though...
Unfortunately, myself and many, many others will never try it again. AoC lost a lot of players in that first 3-6 months.

I don't know what you guys are talking about. I played at the start and it had SO many problems but even so I loved it. Then I played it late last year and it improved alot. It will still never be that popular, I personally couldn't find many classes I wanted to play and the game just has too high requirements for most people. Its a stunning game graphically if you have the right hardware.

I really like this game and i like the combat system but with out other people its with fun, I want Pvps, partys, people that still monsters from you, that what makes it fun for me. If there are going to be or are more people i will play for sure.

@attraction8511 You start at lvl 1 and have to go through tortage again yes. Most of the content in Rise of the Godslayer is lvl 80 content. But there is one new lvl 20-40 zone added into the game. if you choose to play as a character from Khitai you will go to this area after you finish your destiny quest on tortage_

This is probably the best MMO out there right now, for this genre / type. AoC has come lightyears from what it was at launch. It's improved 110%.
I've been a longtime fan of FC, they don't always launch well, but they always take care of their games in the end. Once they get to a certain point, like now with AoC, the games just get better, more intense, and always offer a huge sandbox.
Still anxiously awaiting The Secret World!

Quit playing this game to give MMO's a break. I recently tried Aion couldnt even play that game for more than a week. So friggin boring. Needless to say i came back to AoC. This game is just the best MMO available on the market atm, bottom line. And this expansion thats comin out...pshh. PvP servers in this game are insane. You either make friends or die. That being said - it's fun.

Well AOC is a a great game, and loads of fun, buut the only thing that pisses me off is the fact that you MUST follow the story line, you can't make your own choices to either Join Thoth - Amon or Fight with conan, + when you reach 80 there really isn't much more to do except start a new char or raid

I gived second try, and...its very good. Didnt seen any bugs atm, not see ghost towns ( ok sometimes is empty, when u are on the desert:)). And i Love combat system...not just clicking mouse, but mix of keys, gives me feeling real fight, not luck. AoC can still be great game, and in November they give 1 week free for each pay month. And i dont have top pc, but laptop on medium settings, and np at all. Looks great.

There is a lot of reason why its dying first ...the way 3 lvl 40 can take out a 80 ...also the gear that when you are 80 looks even worst then shit you get in tortage when you begin... also the game is fucking hard to run unless ur pc is new ...and also ...ppl wont play a game that require monthly payment if it doesnt worth it so ..maybe if it was free ...it would works...but otherwise...nah ..

If you look at the Xfire webpage for hours logged on a specific game within the past week or day... whatever it was i forgot now. Anyway, you can see that the hours played on Age of Conan are almost always Significantly higher than those of EQ2, Aion, LOTRO.
Fair enough, there are thousands of people who don't use Xfire, but a decent portion of people do so the hours logged can give you a bit of a helping hand :)

AoC gets 1000 hours played per day, this is just using Xfire and a lot of people don't even use Xfire. So in no ways are the Servers empty and there are Ghosts Towns... You must be a WOW fan boy. WOW is fun but you dont have to lie to make AoC seem pathetic and Wow greater...
