And as for Shirley she helped the story line progress a ton and Lelouch really did love her. And as much as I'm glad she died, I wish it was Nina who died not Shirley. That death haunted me for over a month, but that must have been because I had just started watching anime and wasn't used to it. Code Geass was the most emotionally intense anime I had seen and thought nothing could ever beat it.

Then I saw Clannad.

Anyway I really do love heart warming and emotional anime. You can easly become bored with a simple action or comedy. The problem is how hard good ones are to come by I have only seen 1 after clannad that made me shed a tear.

@Yami2005 I find that clannad has a bigger impact. Kanon is good but I find the male main charater in clannad much better then in Air or Kanon but there characters are alot alike.

If you really like shows like Clannad and Kanon, Air may be for you but its not a feel good show like Clannad and Kanon are. I dont want to spoile anything so I will just say it really leaves you wanting more in a bad way.

"Lu" shouldn't have wiped her mind, shouldn't have pushed her away, and should have killed Rolo and the Emperor for messing with her. If he had done those things she wouldn't have died. Kallen and CC are hot but they didn't love him like she did, and she was pretty hot too. The man is completely tactless. Before Shirley died I would have called this a flawless anime, but this and then Lu's dictatorship and death lost that title

@Yami2005 technically geass varied by user. The geass you talked about was just lelouch. Charles was rewriting memories, Rolo's stopped time, C2's made people fall in love, and Mao could read minds. Geass is really a power to make the user's true desires a reality but it usually cost them something in the end plus the whole curse of immortality thing.

So when he dies, the world is free of hate, and he dies right after nunnaly opens her eyes. So the world is free from hate.
