lol Kvitova's grunting sounds like a puppy barking. I almost mistook her for animal.

I don't realize both of them had played against each other in Slam before.

Kvitova moves a lot better now. You can see Kim used Kvitova's power very well in this match, opens the court with a couple of cross court angles and then she hits a winner. I still think Kim would beat Kvitova outdoors most of the time, but if Kvitova brings her A game, it would be tough for anyone to beat her.

I don;t care what anyone says, Kvitova is basically the same player here that was last year...this is her up against a player who can read her shots better...

It's pretty obvious that the quicker the court, the harder it is to beat Kvitova (like when Clijsters lost in straight sets indoors to her in the GDF Paris Final)

But the US Open Courts are fairly slower than they used to be...so with Kim playing at her best, I'm not shocked at this beatdown!

When you say someone REALLY improves...that means quite a bit.

If you said she improved some, I'd be inclined to agree.

Long story short, I see a slight improvement in netgame....but this match proves what I've been saying all along...Kim was able to exploit Kvitova's lack of movement very well here....which people won't really be able to do as much on grass, and very little at all indoors...courts are too fast.

@wozniacki15 but you and most said great improvement...which is clearly not there.

It's not that I'm dissing her...it's that I don't agree with most people's assessment of her 2010 level...yes she won more in 2011, but I don't think it was due to improvement in her game...for example, she could have won 2010 Wimbledon had she not ran into Serena...

I just feel as if 2011 offered her a few easier routes instead of facing huge names early in just about every big event (like 2010)

@QuadThreat85 i agree she didnt have to face the big guys early because a) she got ranking up well enough not to face them and b)they either got knocked out early. shes only 21 so improvement will and did happen. but its like everytime i see a kvitova vid you have something to say and its never rly positive i believe you have something against her but thats just my opinion

But that's not even the main reason...most Kvitova fans bash the hell out the rest of the WTA...so in their defense, I point out her flaws. I could be saying alot worse.

And you should see it more than anyone...look at your username! Wozniacki's current position worsened the WTA bashing...it was already bad.

Long story short, bashing is an unfortunate part of youtube...it can be ignored, or combated...I pick # 2

@QuadThreat85 well im american and i like more than just the williams i like to see what else is out there and fans who bash other players for example sharapova fans bashing the williams or vice versa or whatever it maybe be shud grow up and realize that their favorite player isnt the only great player on tour and lol at the barking is weird but its her lil signature thing so its ok with me

@wozniacki15 I like a whole bag of players...can even say most of them are my favorites. It wasn't that way some 10 years ago when all I really knew was Venus, Serena, Monica, & Lindsay (those are the first 4 female players my grandparents introduced me to). But I can still say today that there are at least 15 players that I would love to see doing well consistently (if not winning slams).

And I've been TRYING to put up with that damn heaven-forsaken bark...but I can't!!

@wozniacki15 Let me also add that my views on her would probably do a complete 180 if:

A) She stopped all that damn barking

and

B) The world didn't forget about and/or diss the rest of the WTA just because they like the arrival of Kvitova.

A is annoying as fuck, and B is completely asinine and unfair.

And unfortunately, neither of these things is going to happen, so down the list goes Kvitova.

Kvitova has really tempered her game in the space of a year but Kim played really well here. Should be an interesting Aussi Open between Serena, Kim, Sam and Petra
