  • Mice build! I watched the whole series and I might base my build with your tutorials (I also have the same model) The soundtrack was sweet! Special Here comes Alex. I think it's a tribute to A Clockwork Orange

  • Thanks!

Cool. I'm honored. Show some pics or a video and if you like to I'll add it as a respond ^^

At least Wikipedia seas it is a song about the main character of that movie. But I never watched it...

  • that's soo fregin cute!!!!! =) yeo for flat coat does it realy in person when u look at the SD is it relaly flat? or is it semi gloss?

because i udnerstand that for decals water slides to work u need glossy surface

  • I sprayed the flat-coating over a gloss coating (on which I put the decals first).

And well...the surface doesn't reflect directly. Only diffuse light is scattered on it randomly. So I would call that flat.

    Thanks for the comment ;)

  • SD Alex so cute! And your modelling is really remarkable and the water decals are perfect!

  • how u draw the skele in the shoulder pat its cool ! first time ever seen someone of creative!

  • I'm sorry to disappoint you but it's a water slide decal. I'm not good at drawing ^^

    Thx!

  • But its still very good 1st time ever seen this type of alex gundam custom like that n can u have a tutorial of painting?

  • wait i m not forcing you to do it if you don't pls reply^_^.

    From,

    jundidididi

  • I think its a decal

  • gagaga i noe

  • just asking...how many layer of hand painting to make the painting looks clean?

  • With the thinning I usually do I need 3-5 layers of paint.

  • what ur pink saber colour?

  • still one of my fav gundam even in SD

  • Buy the master grade and do that with it:D

  • dose ban dai ever look at your model because you are awsome

  • dat is such a sexy kit

  • Wow... Looking at that makes me and my gundams feel some what inadiquate.

  • Thanks ^^

But comparing the time I spend with one kit and the amount of kits you are collecting I think you do a really good job at coloring.

Have seen your last videos. Good fortune to you and your loved one. And get your bike fixed. Its thrilling to ride through the landscape with the one you love behind you xD

(only if the person isn't frightened of it...)

  • true thats a good point.

And she rode with me for the first time tonight :D

She held on very tight but she said she was more nervous than scared.

  • WHOAH!!!! That's incredible! You're awesome, man! Glad to see you puting my metallic and neon combination tip to good use. :3 And a very clever choice of song as well... Great video; 5 stars!

  • Thanks buddy xD

I didn't mix metallic and fluo. I found out that it's better to layer a FFA + fluo mixture on top of a dry metallic coat.

Thanks again for the tips ^^

  • Okay, I'm gonna have to sound ignorant again... What's FFA?

  • FFA: Future Floor Acryllics by Pledge.

Search for a hp called "the complete future" to know what it is. Nice product.

You don't sond ignorant. It'S my proble if I use acronyms xD

  • I found the Pledge website, and saw the product. I'm still not exactly clear as to its purpose in your paint work. I'm guessing, though, that you mix the FFA with your fluorescent inks, so that it has a consistancy more like acrylic paint, instead of running all over. And, since the FFA is clear and colorless, it doesn't interfere with the fluorescent ink's color, or it's ability to react under UV light. Am I right, so far?

  • That's perfectly right. You need something to mix the ink from the markers because the ink has insanely long drying time (weeks...). It is initially a transparent color. Mixed with FFA it stays that way and is paintable like transparent acryllic paint.

Under visible light its just the same effect as a transparent green coating on the metallic paint and under uv-light the fluorescent effect shows up without being blocked by metallic particles pigments.

  • Dang. That sounds pretty cool! I'll have to look into trying that technique sometime. Thanks for the info!

  • looks great w/ and w/o armour. ; )

  • Simply beautiful! You've done an outstanding job with this kit. ^_^

  • really nice clean job! love it!

  • Die Toten Hosen: hier kommt Alex

    xD

    Very good!

  • Thanks!

You know the song? Its not that kind of music I prefer but I had to choose it considering the name ^^

  • lol Rockband ^_^

  • Not a Rock band? Its Punk-Rock...

BTW. I Just noticed that this song is even on Guitar Hero 3 (Wikipedia). Thats nice.

Or do you mean the game Rock Band? Its downloadable there...

  • lol!

It's one of the first songs I played with my friends on the game Rockband. Came by default on the copy (I think). It's become a sort of in-joke

    "Here's comes Alex!" xD

  • You used a lot more decals than I first thought.

  • Only showed the applicaion on the backpack in the last video...

Do you think it's too much?

  • No, because some are on the outer armour and some are on the inner one. The armour needs some character anyways.

  • Didin't use that much decals on the outer armor because I would have damaged it to make it look right. Thought it would be kind of a waste.

  • The single reaper one looks good enough.

I might buy this guy on SD gundam online to see if he transforms into armour mode. The great thing about SDGO is that you can rent a lot of mobile suits for a day to mess with them.

  • No, you made good use of your order.

  • i like the design!
