@1002Lollipop though hopefully it was quick, i saw a guy shoot a cow 9 times in the forehead, i looked across the road a few hours later and it was still trying to get up, i showed him, though it had already been hours. it took a total of 13 shots to kill it :( and it couldnt stand (it was severely foundered for an unknown reason and was unable to walk) the poor thing :(
WHY CAN'T WE GET ANYWHERE ON PROSECUTING THESE "THINGS?" THEY ARE NOT PEOPLE!!!!!! I am SO pissed, this crap will NOT stop til there are consequences!!!!!!
@willow7233 Just like rodeo's exemption from animal cruelty laws, many states give ranchers an exemption under 'normal animal husbandry practices'. This kind of atrocity is a normal day's work for a rodeo stock contractor.
That is just sick. Needless death because they don't want to shell out the extra money for food. It's greed and irresponsibility. Don't breed what you don't want.
I cannot believe what some people are capable of.I hope that cruelty to animals stop someday, but that will not be possible without the cooperation of all human beings.
P.S. Thank you for showing the reality with this video.
There are other horrible horse haters. Racing industry creates many nurse mare foals and Drug industry Premarin foals that are doomed because they are unwanted byproducts. Wild mustangs rounded up by the BLM with helicopters over many rocky miles with foals some newborn foals. Many foals die. It is awfull. I wish I could save them all. I wish... I pray there are horses in Heaven.....
This is sick, gross, and disgusting. How could anyone in their right mind kill innocent little foals who did absolutely nothing wrong. What have people become these days? These people are an absolute disgrace to mankind. Its like killing a 2 week old baby because its mother can't provide it food. Sick and disgusting. Shame on them. Smh. </3
this is simply disgusting. Is it ok for humans to do what they want just because they're said to be the ruling existence on earth? No, it is definitely not ok.
There were many mares at the NFR, all looked like broodies. Guess that answers the question about where those foals came from. Nurse mare foals, sounds about right.
ok get this.. if you cant feed the mares find them retirement homes where they can roam free if you cant part with them then put their foals on a foster ranch where they can be given bottles and feed until they are strong enough to adopt out!! this method of "mercy killing" stresses the mares out even more than they already are!! i have heard of mares dieing after the foals were ripped from them or killed in front of them, which is probably what they did!!
@dragoon650 These animals were doomed to die before they were even born. Rodeo stock contractors overbreed and kill a percentage of the offspring to maintain their herd numbers.
@SHARKonlineorg you mean they kill their 'born to buck' special horses such nonsense any horse would buck under such abuse theres no such thing as a bucking horse. They'd would have only been used and abused anyway just a bloody shame :( the whole industry disgusts me we had a traveling rodeo come over here to the UK and i wouldnt touch it thanks to your vids i didnt spend money on such a vile display of animal abuse! Keep up the great work shark!!!
This should be illegal, cute little horses, i dont think its illegal around here but i think theyd probably get the crap kicked out of them and harassed for doing something like this where i live... killing horses is sick
Hey SHARK, you think this is sick? you should do some research on the Sled dog slaughter in Whistler, British Columbia after the winter olympics... now THAT is sick...
@ugkcdrock We already spotlighted that when it happened and gave our support to the orgs that were handling the publicity about it. And yes, we think this needless slaughter of foals is sick. It's as disgusting as the dog slaughter.
@udirrtyhippie123 ""If you hurt the animal you have to pay that stock contracter twice the animals value!"" LOL. No, you don't. Stick to baseball; you might know something about that.
@udirrtyhippie123 First of all, you said 'Yes the animals do get hurt', This is an admission. Secondly, you go on to say "If you hurt the animal you have to pay that stock contracter twice the animals value!", So you're telling me that paying the contractor double the value erases the pain and suffering that bull when through in order to die for your amusment? NOT. the only one benefiting is the contractor. Win win for him. NICE GOING. in your own words, you just proved how cruel Rodeo is.
@udirrtyhippie123 Cool logic. If you hurt the animal you have to pay that stock twice as much. Your point is? The animal still gets hurt, genius. No one's arguing that rodeos just injure animals on purpose, but it happens, and more often than not the condition the animals are kept in is disgusting. Fuck you, fuck the rodeo, and fuck people who actually consider what you do as a sport. Pathetic. SMDH.
they don't understand how much emotional stress they just put all the mothers under by doing this.if the mothers were bad off to start with, they are worse off now, due to the emotional stress this has caused them, no one realizes this, nor has it been adressed.
@RascalCoyote Incidences like this are why rodeo people don't want livestock exemptions lifted. If they're lifted for the rodeo, they're afraid the law will go after the ranchers, which it should. And if the law stops livestock cruelty at ranches first, then they're afraid the law will go after the rodeo, which it should.
There's this thing we do in Texas called BOTTLE FEEDING!!! I really shouldn't be surprised that this rodeo has never heard of the concept. If they have then they must be inept at bottle feeding. It really ticks me off when innocent animals (especially helpless baby animals) are mercilessly killed by heartless people. Keep up the great work and continue to expose these people for WHAT they are.
@quicklady Actually, horsemeat was not 'banned' as far as individual people getting access to it in many states. It just couldn't be sold commercially in public markets, nor shipped across state lines or internationally for human consumption, which is what this law is changing. But small, private slaughter facilities had never ceased operating.
@SHARKonlineorg , which demonstrates the utter waste of life rodeo continues to champion. They "could" have sold these foals to slaughter. I guess the rodeo is so profitable, they didn't need the extra income.
@SHARKonlineorg last i checked it was banned here in fl so they went across state lines to get it!! all of the slaughter houses here were shut down and i was glad because when i was young (before the shut downs) i saw the double deckers gowing to mid state... my dad told me what they were and i nearly freaked out and i knew he was mad too!! and thne the ban of slaughtering horses here and shut down of the slaughter houses and resteraunts came we rejoiced!! sadly it dont stop them....
exactly how full of shit are you? ive been reading ur comments and geez! ur quite the neandertal. (in case ur too stupid to know what that means, its a prehistoric ape-like homonid that spent its freetime picking its own butt and grooming for lice).
have u even ever been to a rodeo? i'd like to see you trade places with any one of these foals (r.i.p) should they have lived. u wouldnt last two seconds you monster.
Hey Shark I think that you brave people should try and run for positions in goverment that seems to me the only way that these terrible killings and abuse will stop Let me know what you think. As always thanks so much for your hard work....Ps you would sure have my vote :)
With all the tragedies to the animal population, this is just straight up cruel. To kill foals just for the sport of it is nasty. The cowards who did this should be killed and grinded up into feed for the animals that they slaughtered for no real reason.
This is beyond horrible!!!!! I have a 5 month old foal myself and I love her so much. Who could even do this?!? Why couldn't they just give the babies away if they couldn't feed their moms? I would have taken every last one to save them from this fate!!!
I've seen a sad number of dead animal dump cases and I always highly question the nature of how these animals were shot. Its very rare when a piss poor owner wastes the cost of a few bullets on an animal they didn't want to waist feed on. Sometimes they get some money out of the death by charging people to use the animals as target practice. I've seen it all too much with unwanted stock animals.
Is there any information about the possible nature of the shot wounds? Does it appear "humane"?
How long do you suppose this practice has been going on? Why SO MANY unnecessary babies? If these were the throwaways, how many survived to live under the "horsemanship" of these folks? Did someone accidently let a stallion loose with the mares? Neither the state nor BLM has taken action? I live out in the country and would get in trouble if I don't properly dispose of pets and livestock that I have owned. Heartless act, too. Just buried my 27 year old gelding two weeks ago. I miss him.
The BLM and some of these ranches are joined at the hip. Watch how the BLM handles the mustangs and you'll have a great picture of how much they'd care if a bunch of dead foals rot in a pile amongs thousands of acres.
These were probably nurse mare foals. That means they were babies of mares that are needed to nurse other babies. When you have bucking stock and they must buck for you to make money, you have to get them back bucking. If they are mares and you breed them, their babies are taken away and put on another substitute nurse mare to feed. The baby of the nurse mare is then discarded. As a stock contractor you can buck and breed at the same time. Disgusting facts about disgusting AG
@JennaNLN A good probability which highly demonstrates the utter lack of regard for animal life while desiring to make a profit. That describes the entire venue of rodeo.
Even if that was done supposedly "humanely" how can somebody be so heartless as to kill BABY horses! That's sad, you have to be a real devil to be able to do that.
Steve, what conditions were the mares under that all these babies were stressing them out? I've known of a lot of breeding facilities around the county and have always seen quiet herds of mares and foals grazing peacefully. Or maybe the babies romped around a little. Also, a big organization such as where these babies came from doesn't have its own backhoe? Wow. I know so many farmers and ranchers who say that they are a must have item.
@walk4trot2canter3 Unfortunately, that's an unanswerable question. This took place over a year ago but we were just alerted to this debacle; it was apparently swept under the rug. This was/is a rodeo stock contractor. They all overbreed regularly, like puppy millers. We are not surprised to see something like this; we don't believe it's uncommon. Some of these contractors had even made proud statements in pro rodeo articles that a certain percentage of months-old offspring go right to slaughter.
@thewildmustang91 We're certain the orgs and individuals who have been at the forefront of the slaughter issue will be issueing new videos and more information concerning our government's mistake in rewarding overbreeders and bad owners with this easy, inhumane disposal of innocent animals.
@rodeoman84 We would rather that the foals have not been killed or otherwise abused by people who can't stand the thought of joining the real world, or of getting a real job.
@SHARKonlineorg A typical response from your organization. Talk about joining the real world. The real world for these particular foals is either in a rodeo arena or euthanized. Which of the two do you prefer they be in?
@SHARKonlineorg that isn't an answer. That is more of your diatribe talking points. These foals had a possibility of two paths, this one, and a rodeo arena, now which one of those would you prefer, since these were the only paths that these foals had available....come on now a real answer, not talking points
@rodeoman84 Just wanted to be sure what your intelligence is. You're saying the only option for these foals was rodeo or death. It doesn't surprise us coming from someone with rodeo in their name that you'd never even consider first of all not bringing unwanted animals to life in the first place and second, that finding them a home that will take care of them is just too intelligent for you to comprehend.
@SHARKonlineorg now now, lets not resort to name calling. I am trying to actually carry on a conversation with you. Did it occur to you that maybe he did try to give them away and no one wanted them? Wyoming and other places are full of horses that have been turned loose to starve to death because their feel good adoptive owners didn't realize what it takes to keep a horse, but I digress. I will concede however that there is another option for the foals...starvation by being set free..
@rodeoman84 calling you 'someone with rodeo in your name' is name calling? It's a befitting moniker considering your addition of the option of starvation for the foals, which is nothing unusual for rodeo stock contractors. They've already been in the news for doing so in the past. Rodeo stock contractors are no different than despicable puppy millers. Overproducing & killing animals to protect their bottom line. Yes, an intelligent person wouldn't be put 'rodeo' in their name, but it fits you.
@rodeoman84 the point is they dont choose there paths and we shouldnt either. They should of been rescued theres plenty of people out there who would take the foals off these barbaric ppls hands and raise them properly. We as humans shouldnt have the right to force these animals into the arena or take away there lives. but we have the right to help them. If u arent here to support shark i suggest u dont bother leaving comments. u r just wasting your own time while shark is actually opening eyes
@rodeoman84 Why would these be the only two options? Humans were in control of these animals. You're saying that the human in charge only is knowledgable about two options? Someone needs to release this nut from his job!!! Now, not only has he made a stupid decision, he's got a lot of folks realizing how incompetent he is and whoever is responsible for this mess needs to face a court of law AND be punished!!! Get rid of Deputy Dawg or whoever is overlooking this crime, too!!!
@rodeoman84 I'm a little baffled by your logic. I agree that the life in a rodeo is no life at all, but nor is unnecessary killings. With this logic, are you saying that you are thankful that the nazis killed thousands in the gas chamber instead of making them live the life of the concentration camp? Am I misunderstanding you? I think neither are ok and that there were other alternatives.
@1775novten yes you do misunderstand me. If I am the foals I would rather be in the rodeo. If I were a ranch horse I would rather be in the rodeo. I eat all I want, travel the country, work 8 seconds every 3 or 4 days...yep give me the life of a rodeo horse everytime...
@rodeoman84 Travel the country in a stock trailer standing in your own piss and crap? Yeah, let's see some video of your doing that for just one month's worth of what a horse goes through and see how much you love it.
@rodeoman84, "work 8 seconds every 3-4 days", and those 8 seconds actually translate into about 24 hours of stress with no food/water.Then they ship out.Stress.Then you rodeo them again. 8 seconds can be a long time, and those horses wait in the chutes a helluva lot longer than 8 seconds. Then there's the fun of the flank, and the wire prods, and the ropes to keep their heads up. Oh, yeah, the horses have a real blast. Only in rodeo-"man"-land though. In the real world of the horse, it's hell.
Typical. Gee, how did those mares get pregnant! Some strange stallion just happened along, yeah right..What a sick sad story. "Nothing inhumane" about it, eh? Try telling that to the mares. And at least from these photos, those foals sure didn't look malnourished. I'd like to have seen pics of the mares, I wonder where they are now:(
So sad, so stupidly short-sighted. Breed 'em, and shoot 'em. Who cares? Just an animal. Not surprised Wyoming doesn't see anything wrong.
I would like to see more info on this? where is the article, who is investigating? You can make a petition on Change.org which if you get enough signatures will have a good impact but you have to know who to send it to!!
We should start killing THEM, and then say that it was out of 'mercy.' Maybe that'd help get the point across.

@SHARKonlineorg A typical response from your organization. Talk about joining the real world. The real world for these particular foals is either in a rodeo arena or euthanized. Which of the two do you prefer they be in?
rodeoman84 2 months ago
@rodeoman84 What a ridiculous claim, that they must be abused one way or another. I say again - get a real job.
SHARKonlineorg 2 months ago
@SHARKonlineorg that isn't an answer. That is more of your diatribe talking points. These foals had a possibility of two paths, this one, and a rodeo arena, now which one of those would you prefer, since these were the only paths that these foals had available....come on now a real answer, not talking points
rodeoman84 2 months ago
@rodeoman84 Just wanted to be sure what your intelligence is. You're saying the only option for these foals was rodeo or death. It doesn't surprise us coming from someone with rodeo in their name that you'd never even consider first of all not bringing unwanted animals to life in the first place and second, that finding them a home that will take care of them is just too intelligent for you to comprehend.
SHARKonlineorg 2 months ago
@SHARKonlineorg now now, lets not resort to name calling. I am trying to actually carry on a conversation with you. Did it occur to you that maybe he did try to give them away and no one wanted them? Wyoming and other places are full of horses that have been turned loose to starve to death because their feel good adoptive owners didn't realize what it takes to keep a horse, but I digress. I will concede however that there is another option for the foals...starvation by being set free..
rodeoman84 2 months ago

Hellokittymahn 2 months ago

1775novten 2 months ago
@1775novten yes you do misunderstand me. If I am the foals I would rather be in the rodeo. If I were a ranch horse I would rather be in the rodeo. I eat all I want, travel the country, work 8 seconds every 3 or 4 days...yep give me the life of a rodeo horse everytime...
rodeoman84 2 months ago
@rodeoman84 Travel the country in a stock trailer standing in your own piss and crap? Yeah, let's see some video of your doing that for just one month's worth of what a horse goes through and see how much you love it.
SHARKonlineorg 2 months ago
@rodeoman84, "work 8 seconds every 3-4 days", and those 8 seconds actually translate into about 24 hours of stress with no food/water.Then they ship out.Stress.Then you rodeo them again. 8 seconds can be a long time, and those horses wait in the chutes a helluva lot longer than 8 seconds. Then there's the fun of the flank, and the wire prods, and the ropes to keep their heads up. Oh, yeah, the horses have a real blast. Only in rodeo-"man"-land though. In the real world of the horse, it's hell.

Thank you Steve!!!! Nice to know someone is out there educting others about what poor animals go through!

AnimalLeftist 2 months ago
The people who shot them could have atleast give the foals away for free to people like me who would have nursed them with bottles..............

I would like to see more info on this? where is the article, who is investigating? You can make a petition on Change.org which if you get enough signatures will have a good impact but you have to know who to send it to!!
