I just got one of these for cheap and I'm having trouble flying it. I have experience with a MCX2 and a MSR. I'm wondering if a head locking gyro will make a huge difference and make it worth keeping. Also is this considered a 250 or 300 sized heli? I'm asking these questions because if the gyro will make a huge difference I'm considering upgrading the ESC, motor and receiver. I can get a brushless motor, 20 amp ESC, brushless motor and 2.4 spektrum compatible receiver for under $50.
To go foward, the swash plate must be tilted foward. To go backwards, the swash plate must be tited backwards. How to controle the helicopter is well explaned in the manual.

Not at all. If the Walkera #4 is your first RC heli, you would be able to hover it within one day. The Walkera #4 has a very low rotor head speed which makes it easy to fly this heli in short time. You wil enjoy this little heli...
