  • WEll, I'll have to disagree with all of you! I think Joni Mitchell is a girl, and I think she's talking about being in love and having the waves of a relationship (ups and downs), and I think the guilt mentioned is because it's sex between two women and one of them feel guilty about it. overal passion and lust exists in all relationships and this is what she misses. The passion of love.

  • Very strange

  • More than often we manifest our love in a selfish manner, only paying attention to our needs. I identify with his feelings, when we lust for someone we imagine the perfect scenario, the ultimate exchange of passionate love. It is often selfish because we are directing the movie that's playing in our heads. Furthermore, the fact that he wants to protect her and help her deal with her pain, is a distinctive quality that men posses. Men have been conditioned to look after women.

  • young twisted love! i could help but to feel a cluster of conflicting emotions. anger toward what seems to be the typical male with his mind on the conquest, sadness because a love like that is one everyone has expericenced. and excitement for vasualizing the lustfull acts the two shared

  • When love has gone and the passion is dead, their can only be the ashes of what use to to, even the sex has lose its sweet flavor.

  • I think the poem is a passionate/lust poem. I think it was about a man trying to help the girl with the problems she's been through. At the same time he wants to be with her and have her.

  • This poem simply represents a man's strong and deep lust for his women. To me it's quite usaual. Most men are strongly attractive towards there signifigant other. What I don't agree with is the way he tries to make her feel guilty of not wanting to perform sexual intercourse when he gets an errection. That's cruel.

  • The poem is for those who are not in relationships. The poem is about a female who cannot confess her to her feelings. The male does everything that a man is limited to make her confess. She cannot confess so she feels guilty.

  • How controversy and problems are foreplay for sex

  • This poem represents a male's lust for a woman and how he feels for her regardless of the good or bad. (kisses or bites) I think the man is trying to make the woman feel guilty about her feelings towards him.

  • i love the way this story embodies the desire of any mans lust for that one true woman

  • A males point of view about love....about time you men start talking about something
