What it does it makes crimes get punished EQUALLY! In a lot of rural places in the country, when a gay/trans person is killed, the local courts give the murderer some stupid 30 day punishment. This allows the federal courts to bring it to court instead, so justice can be served. When we die, no one cares in most small towns.
if you kick someones ass its assault, if you kill someone its murder, regardless of race/religion/sexual orientation. increase the punishment for normal crimes instead of placing these people in a special category.

What Robertson is trying to say is that the statute is a step toward crimes of opinion--and even thought crime. Re hate crimes:
Conservatives have lost the ability to talk well. The time honored value is speaking on moral issues--in particular, here, to say being gay is wrong. What Robertson is trying to say is that the statute is a step toward crimes of opinion--and even thought crime. It is also a step toward establishing a class or classes of persons who are more equal under law. Also, while the statute may be neutral, its enforcement most probably won't be. IMO, it is well motivated bad liberalism.

Thats a ignorant generalizing. When people don't have money to live normal, have food and anything they usually get sick and psychologically depressed, causing them to have a hard time finding work. The benefits is to make sure that people have a chance to rebound. It benefits the country because it makes sure that more people get jobs. Only a few are the one's who exploit this, and saying that all do is bullshit and just causes more problems.

There are 6 applicants for every 1 available job. Giving privet business a tax break will not magically generate the other 5 positions, or 600% additional available positions. Basic math and simple reasoning leads one to believe that there are a ton of people that simply can not get work, even though they want it, through no fault of their own. Keep in mind that to qualify for unemployment, you have to have had a job, and have been laid off (not fired, or have gone a long time since last job).
