  • Their soul's were too perfect for earth, so the lord brought them home. They were fragile, yet strong. They hurt, but never complained. They lived such short lives, but their souls will on forever, with God. And maybe in their next life, they will not suffer, and will live full lives, complete with a wonder family, children, and joy. No more suffering is needed in their poor little bodies.

  • while feeling the joy of a MAJOR breakthrough 4 DIPG research this week, a friend reminded me that a key funding source, the National Institutes for Health, is under assault in the US budget debates: H.R. 1 will cut NIH funding by $1.6 billion (5.2%) – cut the budget for medical research to $29.4 billion– back to 2008 levels roughly. I used this site to tell the US legislators what I think: Act Now to Protect Research! links to action can be found via research!america dot org

  • RIP Brianna Sharp - DIPG Angel 1996-2009

  • Is there ANY survival rate fr this type of cancer at all?

  • There are a few kids who are past 4/5 years since diagnosis but approximately 90% will unfortunately die within 18 months of diagnosis.

  • This may be kinda rude but why do they swell up so badly?

  • Steriods

  • What about complete remission?

  • Don't think there is anyone as far as I know as the tumor is inoperable

  • There's one girl named Dasia who is still living after almost 5 years of DIPG. She's considered cured and is still going strong.

  • I know she was diagnosed in 2005, there's a few diagnosed from that year considered cured

  • What does "Dx" mean? Is that when they were diagnosed? And at the bottom is it their birth date and the date of their death?

  • My angel, Max Lacewell, is still battling this monster. Words can not express the amount of love and care I wish I cold send to their family. Rest in piece, or DIPG warriors - you will NEVER be forgotten.

  • DIPG is a beast. My 7 (now 8) yo was called home to heaven after 14 courageous months. I look at the before and after pictures of these WONDERFUL children and I see my daughter Autumn in all of them. How true that it doesn't discriminate.. I am so proud of my daughter and for her opening my eyes to something far more bigger and powerful. God Bless everyone who has battled and is still battling.

Rest in Paradise my Angel Autumn

    Melissa ( mommy)

  • DIPG is an awful monster. My 13 yo son Zachary lost a courageous 7 month battle to this horrible disease, and was reborn into the arms of his Saviour Jesus Christ on 12/26/08. His big sister Sarah posted several wonderful videos on You Tube. They are under Zachary Dievendorf. I miss you so much Zachary. Love Dad!!

  • Notice how in their first pictures, they are all so adorable and cute... but in the other pictures when they are changed they are even more beautiful.

  • How did we watch the same video?

    So sad...

  • because your mom shwoed it to you. I sent it to my mom, and my mom sent it to your mom

  • verry touching seing those kids befor and after and some in ther coffins realy touches me verry good tribute lets hope a cure will be found

  • to sad for words...

  • a beautiful video

    i cant stop crying

  • This is a wonderful tribute, so hard to watch! I hate this monster that not only makes our children sick, but changes everything about them. My seven year old is a year off treatment...I hope and pray we never have to face relapse.

  • iI've never even heard of it, how terrible...

  • What does DIPG actually do?

  • DIPG is a tumor of the brainstem which controls vital functions, making it inoperable. Barely anyone has survived it (confirmed cases of 5 year survival you can count on two hands). After diagnoses the child generally has 6 months to 2 years max. Chemo & radiation can prolong life, but the side effects often out way the benifits, as either way the outcome is the same. Worst of all, it rarely attacks anyone over the age of ten.

  • HOLY SHIT! Soz excuse my language that sound really bad how can people over the age of ten catch this ?

  • It is not caught as it is cancer and the cause is unknown.

There is still a good percentage of DIPG patients that are over the age of 10, but it is just more common for under 10s to be diagnosed.

  • correct me if I'm wrong.

It's a tumor located in the brain in the pons area. It is inoperable so treatment makes the tumor shrink but eventually the patient will go through tumor progression. They will have partial paralysis, loss of hearing, loss of voice, and sadly they will loose the ability to eat and BREATHE

  • That is correct, although not all children respond well to the treatment at all...

  • What a wonderful tribute. It's so sad to see all these brave and innocent children. Keep up the good work. R.I.P.

  • Thanks so much for including Haley Smith! I sooo appreciate all you do to remember these kids!!! KEEP IT UP!!!

  • trinity bright went to my school im 9 i miss her

  • Great video and a wonderful way to remember the kids. Thank you.

  • thank you for such a wonderful tribute to these children.
