Susanne was so lovely! I think she has an amazing voice and was totally gutted when she was voted off. Does anyone know if she has released a cd? My fav was piece of my heart...had me in tears!

Agree with you VibesAndLiveleeShow. After this I watched every week willing her to at least get near this level so she would get to the final and then it's all up for grabs, who knows, but as you say, she never got near this level again in subsequent weeks. Pete Waterman was visibily shaking after this performance. Didn't he walk out after Michelle McManus won never to return in disgust?

Michelle McManus won that year but this is the one performence that stuck out for me cos its a beautiful song and she sung it with emotion but after she sung this she was terrible lol Marc Dillon-To love somebody and Mark Rhodes-Shes like this wind also were stand out performences =]

Amazing that after all the years, I remembered this performance. It's a stand out for me. I don't remember who won that year, but I did remember susanne. To me, other than Leona, this was up there as one of the best.

She ended up getting negative publicity from the UK press about four weeks from the end of the series and got the lowest vote and was out in fifth place. She started off so strong but had a few shaky weeks and couldn't recover.

She had an amazing voice though.

After hearing this last month for the first time since it was broadcast however many years ago, it brought tears to my eyes within the first 20 seconds. Her feeling is so genuine. Consequently though, it annoys me all the more that she doesn't sing the last "T" in "heart". Her singing diction and occasional habit of dropping the pitch at the end of phrases let her down a little for me, but that's easily corrected, so why was it never mentioned on the show? Cowell et al don't know about singing?
