I can see Lang Lang with his enormous popularity in the west and a Chinese origin will help integrate the western music and/or instruments with the traditional Chinese music and/or instruments. This attempt is certainly worthwhile and whether the color of the piano is in a harmony with the Chinese instruments is a different issue. I have a feeling the Chinese instrument playing was a little reserved, notably the erhu.
Heard this when I was a child in the late 1950 . It's haunting melody sticks with me since then (for 60 years) . This is how much this pcs of music can do to anyone who heard it. There are many versions but this version by Lang2 is one of the best. Thanks.
@goldbullions Hey. I agree this music is magical.! I first heard this beautiful melody in Cacophony(Jason Becker & Marty Friedman) 's Black Cat. and later the original, mutch like this one! Cacophony is an amarican band from the 80's. I've heard a lot of Asian music inspiration in theire music, wich I love!. But I'm wondering how this music made it over to the west.. to counries like the U.S. You say you heard this piece as early as the 50's... maybe you know something about this? thanks:)
Love this music and video. I have always had an older asian man by my side who told me when I was little that I was the son of an Emperor and I died young so my father sent my dragon (blues purples and beautiful colors) into my next life with me to protect and care for me. Love
this is fucking beatiful!

As China rises economically , this kind music will become more and more popular in the West. And that is great!

a melodia parece exigir que estejamos absolutamente disponíveis para ouvir o eco que ela faz dentro de nós.
