I want to make movies when I'm older, and one of the ideas that I've had for some time is about the life journey of an Allosaurus. Only it's more of a fantasy film than a documentary, except the dinosaurs don't talk.
They got a new show on the science channel called Dinosaur Revolution. Look it up! It's from 2011. The one episode I saw last night was called "Watering Hole". It was about the survival of a Allosaurus growing up and it was having a rival of a T-rex. I love Dino documentaries.
Really? Wow, that honestly surprises me, but I can't say it's in a bad way at all. I'm actually pleased as punch to hear that this modest little effort is going towards educating people - no matter how negligibly - in the right setting.
More than anything, it just brings a grin to my face to think of this being watched in a classroom by students. I never even considered that happening when I made it, I promise you that. Thanks for making my day. : )
People will beleive any nonsense. I still have never seen a dinosaur skull. Anytime they claim to have a dinosaur skull all they show us is a cartoon drawing. One random bone found somewhere does not make a dinosaur. drawings and animated videos also do not provide proof on any real proof dinosaurs existed. Its always someone from the carnegie or rockefeller foundations with the grant money who decides if a bone came from 'dinosaurs'
@ColdSideOfPillow136 I have no clue what u said. So Im guessing since you mention god, you are one of those people. I am not a christian but even if I was that still doesnt answer as to why there has never been one skull ever produced. The dinosaurs at all the museams are not real bones. They are plastic replicas. Plastic bones do not count as being real. It might be proof enough for scientists and scholars but since Im not getting grant money from these people I dont have to pretend.
@ColdSideOfPillow136 I'm replying to your comment as I don't want to face the wrath of mustaffa1611 :)
So according to his logic if I go to an art gallery and look at a loaned replica of the Mona Lisa, then there is no such thing as the Mona Lisa?
How can someone deny that dinosaurs existed? You don't even need to see them in a museum, you can find the bones yourself if you look in the right places, I've done it and I'm not even in university yet!

Ive heard of allosaurs being over 40 foot long when the left over thanksgiving meal of bones peaked out of the sandstone120 years ago or whatever in roberrs roost (utah) butchcassidy sundance kid hideout?
I just love walking with dinosaurs! its a REALLY old program I used to watch it when I whas 5! and its way more nicer than the programs you see now on tv
I woulid like to ask something to everyone. whati is allosaurus true size? although many used to say that he is up to 11 or12 m. in length and 3-4 tones , almost all of their fragiles seems to fit to a dinosaur who is 7.5 to 9.8 [largest] m. long. some bigger bones were "recently" said to belong to another allosauridae called epanterias amplexus[over 11 m. in length].
That is a tricky question. As you already know, there are several species of Allosaurs, with A. fragilis being the most commonly found and being only moderate (8.5 metres) in length. Chances are, this measurement is the most accurate size of Allosaurs, as it is the most-found species we know of. Like modern animals, only a very few individuals would reach 'full' size; for example, only a handful of estuarine crocodiles in a population get to be 18 feet, being more commonly 13-15 ft.
@gothmogate I saw in docuentarys that Allosaurus could reach bigger size than T. Rex. Experts quarrel about Allosaururs Maximus is a species of himself or is a x-large individuum of the same kind.
You see there are humans who are only 1,50 meters and there are humans who are 2,20 meters.
There's just something about Allosaurs. I remember loving them even before I could read and had to just watch the pictures of my dino books. I guess in a way they're the prototypical large badass carnivorous dinosaurs. Nothing too much, nothing too little.
My favorite dinosaur has always been the Thesaurus. Professor Roget became famous for discovering the first fossil remains of the dinosaur that we now know as the Thesaurus, exceeded only by Tyrannosaurus Rex in ferocity, viciousness, aggressiveness, savagery, & bloodthirstiness.
I prefer the Allosaurus over the other ones, as it looks like the most elegant one. The T-Rex is just too bulky with too ridiculously crippled fore-arms... An Allosaurus would be kind of cool as a pet, but, considering what a freaked-out cat can do...meh, maybe its better A. died out ^^
allosaurus was one of the best hunters who ever lived in the dinosaur world they where so amazing smart and they got good hunting tactics. and many people thinks that the t rex is the biggest hunter who ever lived in the dinosaur world but they are wrong the spino saurus was 8 meter high and 20 meter tall. biggest hunter who ever lived
@Entomofauna think you need to read up on that, the max size estimate for giganotosaurus is 14m. Though theres as much evidence that spinosaurus was a scavenger as there is for it being an active predator and piscivore, think a milner admitted that herself. its certainly the case with baryonyx, though personally i dont like the idea of something as large being a scavenger; scavengers cover huge areas and the amount of mass it has combined doesnt seem to work.
@hardcorecrusher12 they still knows nothing.maybe there was bigger hunter,not discovered even half of the dinosaurus.and why tiranosaurus last appear on earth,because tirex was the most devoloped.

Why do creationists fight against evolution so much? Just imagine primitive man & if we are all made in the image of god, god looks like an ape? Hairy, dirty, smelly, unwashed, yellow broken teeth, horrible hair.... that is supposed to represent God? No wonder time stops going backward about 5,000 years ago to these people.

Dinosaurs ruled the earth for over 100 million years, with nearly no evolutionary changes. They truly were the pinacle of evolution, the mightiest species to have ever walked the planet.
Paleontology is not my area of expertise but most evolutionary biologists will agree with me when i say dinosaurs were one if the pinnacles of evolution. Off course species evolved, but i was referring to the general anatomical and genetic make-up of the superorder dinosaurs, which overall didn't change that much over the period they wandered the earth
Nice, drama-rich music. Was that made up from the company that made this cool action-packed video? Thus would suit the T.Rex attack in Spielberg's Jurassic Park movie.
Allosaurus were one of the most BADASS creatures that walked this earth. FUCK todays animals!!!!!! allosaurus and other carnivorous dinos were EPIC WIN
ok i have no clue why you guys are being pussys to this guy, be more nice. great vid, my too fav dinos are the Allosaurus and the Tyrannosaurus Rex. their good hunters and are AWESOME!! lol but i mean SERIOUSLY PPL!!! be NICE!! im mean even i spell dino names wrong most of the time. sheesh!! how would you like it if you made a vid on the raptor and and you spelt it wrong and someone said you were a pussy!! huh!! BE-NICE!!!
Actually, I think you suck if you can't even spell Allosaurus when it's right in the title... And you say a rabbit could kill it? Ok. It would still kick your ass.
spongedan219's got it; this (the Walking With Dinosaurs series) is a documentary produced by the BBC, and it aired on television quite a few years ago. However, it is available for purchase on DVD, usually in a box set.
Most of the footage used in this video is from the Walking With Dinosaurs Special: The Ballad of Big Al documentary, a bit of a side-piece to the regular series. It's also available for purchase, with both of them on the BBC Shop website. They're both rather cheap, nowadays.

Dinosaurs ruled the earth for over 100 million years, with nearly no evolutionary changes. They truly were the pinacle of evolution, the mightiest species to have ever walked the planet.
SSTTEEAALLTTHH 1 year ago
@SSTTEEAALLTTHH dude they ruled waaaaaaaaayyyyy longer than 100million years , i mean big al's (allosaurus) skeleton was 120million yeras old
killerNC17 1 year ago
@killerNC17
I said 'FOR OVER 100 million years' and i didn't say 'ago' :)
SSTTEEAALLTTHH 1 year ago
@SSTTEEAALLTTHH more like 300million years ago :)
killerNC17 1 year ago
@killerNC17
Again, i never said 'ago'. I was referring to a lengt of time, not a given moment in time

@SSTTEEAALLTTHH Impressive. Regardless, you haven't taken much time to study dinosaur evolution.

@YourBrainOnReligion
SSTTEEAALLTTHH 1 year ago
wow, you just made the adventure of Big Al far more epic! Love the music you used!

Nice, drama-rich music. Was that made up from the company that made this cool action-packed video? Thus would suit the T.Rex attack in Spielberg's Jurassic Park movie.

Actually, I think you suck if you can't even spell Allosaurus when it's right in the title... And you say a rabbit could kill it? Ok. It would still kick your ass.

it was a documentary (i think)
spongedan219 2 years ago
spongedan219's got it; this (the Walking With Dinosaurs series) is a documentary produced by the BBC, and it aired on television quite a few years ago.
