  • Big Al <3 I have this on DVD. xD I am such a tomboy.

  • I live pretty close to Big Al. He's a groovy fossil.

  • what's the music ?

  • High 5! Me too LOL! Somewhere around 8 though...

  • I was 8 when Walking With ...began. Damn, time flies...

  • Song name?

  • I want to make movies when I'm older, and one of the ideas that I've had for some time is about the life journey of an Allosaurus. Only it's more of a fantasy film than a documentary, except the dinosaurs don't talk.

  • dominant for millions of years.

  • fake

  • 1:36 that reminds me of german fighters in ww2

  • They got a new show on the science channel called Dinosaur Revolution. Look it up! It's from 2011. The one episode I saw last night was called "Watering Hole". It was about the survival of a Allosaurus growing up and it was having a rival of a T-rex. I love Dino documentaries.

  • RIP Big Al we'll miss ya

  • this song makes me cry....in a good way :,) *snif*

  • I wish dinosaurs still roamed the earth, would be so epic.

  • Were you pleased as punch to hear it huh? You like punch huh? Like it out a fucking punch bowl huh? DO YOU??

  • Thats it. .. Juss running around everywhere... -_-

    Expected a lil more..

  • i eat those for breakfast !!!

  • I am the biggest Big Al the allosaurus fan eva

  • 1:23 NO PLACE OF ESCAPE, CONSIDER YOURSELF DEAD

  • We watched this in my dinosaurs historical geology class. Thanks for uploading this :)

  • @Trahira517

Really? Wow, that honestly surprises me, but I can't say it's in a bad way at all. I'm actually pleased as punch to hear that this modest little effort is going towards educating people - no matter how negligibly - in the right setting.

More than anything, it just brings a grin to my face to think of this being watched in a classroom by students. I never even considered that happening when I made it, I promise you that. Thanks for making my day. : )

  • just imagine how shit our childhoods would've been without dinosaurs....

  • i am still fascinated at big al and all Allosaurus

  • I would ride on a allosaurus on a rainbow road made of dreams and happiness that leads to freindship.

  • I forgot why I was fascinated with dinosaurs as a kid, you made me remember why they are so fascinating. Thank you so much!

  • i saw this when i was a kid i was like 5 or 3 i do not no but i am 13 now dinosaurs for the win

  • @GAMEover5342

I've got ten years on you, and they still haven't lost their draw in my eyes either. : )

  • @GAMEover5342 I am 14 year old you were born in 1998 haha

  • @CiaDoggy um ya so

  • when i was a child, i watched this and others dinosaur's documentaries hundreds of times...i love dinosaurs: they're fascinating

  • lol this is good!! I'm interested about dinosaurs :) gj ;)

  • People will beleive any nonsense. I still have never seen a dinosaur skull. Anytime they claim to have a dinosaur skull all they show us is a cartoon drawing. One random bone found somewhere does not make a dinosaur. drawings and animated videos also do not provide proof on any real proof dinosaurs existed. Its always someone from the carnegie or rockefeller foundations with the grant money who decides if a bone came from 'dinosaurs'

  • @mustaffa1611 Ah, just as an old book is no real proof. I've never seen God. Go to a damn museum, ignoramus.

  • @ColdSideOfPillow136 I have no clue what u said. So Im guessing since you mention god, you are one of those people. I am not a christian but even if I was that still doesnt answer as to why there has never been one skull ever produced. The dinosaurs at all the museams are not real bones. They are plastic replicas. Plastic bones do not count as being real. It might be proof enough for scientists and scholars but since Im not getting grant money from these people I dont have to pretend.

  • @ColdSideOfPillow136 I'm replying to your comment as I don't want to face the wrath of mustaffa1611 :)

So according to his logic if I go to an art gallery and look at a loaned replica of the Mona Lisa, then there is no such thing as the Mona Lisa?

How can someone deny that dinosaurs existed? You don't even need to see them in a museum, you can find the bones yourself if you look in the right places, I've done it and I'm not even in university yet!

To AustralianFalcon, Allosaurs are the best!

  • this is the film "big all"

  • this video is epic

  • Two allosauruses can kill a mother T-rex

  • Ah, the good old days, when Discovery and Animal Planet showed dinosaurs and animals and beauties of nature...not fishermen miners pawn shop owners and whale saving "pirates" with their own reality show.

  • @njahmoon89

I hear you. Seriously, I hear you. I haven't 'discovered' anything on that channel in years, save that big beefy men being grimy and stereotypically manly is apparently popular television.

  • @AustralianFalcon hey dude you know there is a new dinosaur documentary on both bbc and discovery channel. So discovery channel is still making them

  • @njahmoon89 youre right these days animal planet and discovery are now superlame because of those stupid reaility shows >:L

  • @Alex1994Science Clearly what?

  • Good vid man, yea somthing about allosaurus made me want to know more bout them. By far my fav dino:P

  • My fav dinos are Parasaurolophus and Pachycephalosaurus

  • Yep this very good life about Allosaurus

  • amazing best dinosaur in history

  • #LOL

Marsh in Colorado (USA).

  • Resurrecting Megalania: Can We Do It?

    watch?v=uKbR1bcze8A

  • Can we take away the Discovery Channels copy of Maya. Please?

  • does anybody no a good site were i can learn the basics of dinosaurs and there names. any help is appreciated

  • @MrBuddyisreal

Google 'Dinopedia'; it's a wikia site with all sorts of information, and more than I think I'd ever be able to go through myself in a lifetime. Additionally, it has a sidebar with recent dinosaur-related discoveries in the news, so it's a good site for staying somewhat up-to-date with the latest finds.

What with it being a wiki, though, just remember to take things with a grain of salt and to follow the sources on information provided.

    Hope it helps. : )

  • @AustralianFalcon thanks alot

  • @AustralianFalcon thank you for this..I am so much into Dino's and this help me a lot!!

  • @AustralianFalcon what is the songs name?

  • @coolal124 i can tell u its called An epic age and its by imediate :)

  • @PinkBunnyMiss ty :3 u just won 10 bucks :3 jk

  • Ive heard of allosaurs being over 40 foot long when the left over thanksgiving meal of bones peaked out of the sandstone120 years ago or whatever in roberrs roost (utah) butchcassidy sundance kid hideout?

  • oh god dino's are back **pumps shotgun** GET some

  • Isn't this the BIG AL?

  • I just love walking with dinosaurs! its a REALLY old program I used to watch it when I whas 5! and its way more nicer than the programs you see now on tv

  • I remember watching this video in school before. Love it! LONG LIVE THE DECEASED DINOS!!!

  • I woulid like to ask something to everyone. whati is allosaurus true size? although many used to say that he is up to 11 or12 m. in length and 3-4 tones , almost all of their fragiles seems to fit to a dinosaur who is 7.5 to 9.8 [largest] m. long. some bigger bones were "recently" said to belong to another allosauridae called epanterias amplexus[over 11 m. in length].

  • @gothmogate

That is a tricky question. As you already know, there are several species of Allosaurs, with A. fragilis being the most commonly found and being only moderate (8.5 metres) in length. Chances are, this measurement is the most accurate size of Allosaurs, as it is the most-found species we know of. Like modern animals, only a very few individuals would reach 'full' size; for example, only a handful of estuarine crocodiles in a population get to be 18 feet, being more commonly 13-15 ft.

  • @AustralianFalcon allosaurus is 12m 4 to 5 tons

  • @gothmogate I saw in docuentarys that Allosaurus could reach bigger size than T. Rex. Experts quarrel about Allosaururs Maximus is a species of himself or is a x-large individuum of the same kind.

You see there are humans who are only 1,50 meters and there are humans who are 2,20 meters.

  • There's just something about Allosaurs. I remember loving them even before I could read and had to just watch the pictures of my dino books. I guess in a way they're the prototypical large badass carnivorous dinosaurs. Nothing too much, nothing too little.

  • My favorite dinosaur has always been the Thesaurus. Professor Roget became famous for discovering the first fossil remains of the dinosaur that we now know as the Thesaurus, exceeded only by Tyrannosaurus Rex in ferocity, viciousness, aggressiveness, savagery, & bloodthirstiness.

  • @CecilTheSeaMonster But you're refering to the mighty Thesaurus as if it would be extinct. :(

  • this was good use of music

  • Comment removed

  • @Almaskakas12 clearly

  • I prefer the Allosaurus over the other ones, as it looks like the most elegant one. The T-Rex is just too bulky with too ridiculously crippled fore-arms... An Allosaurus would be kind of cool as a pet, but, considering what a freaked-out cat can do...meh, maybe its better A. died out ^^

  • EPIC!

  • Beautifully done sir

  • This movie is for me the most amazing dinosaur-movie I´ve seen. Long live Big Al!

  • 29 compsognathus lovers

  • @Randomnis1337 LOLITROLU

  • i heard this song since 2007! this is the best song australianfalcon u saved my life or my mind in thinking!

  • allosaurus was one of the best hunters who ever lived in the dinosaur world they where so amazing smart and they got good hunting tactics. and many people thinks that the t rex is the biggest hunter who ever lived in the dinosaur world but they are wrong the spino saurus was 8 meter high and 20 meter tall. biggest hunter who ever lived

  • @hardcorecrusher12

in fact biggest carnivorous wasn't not Tyrannosaurus (up to 12'4 meters) nor Spinosaurus (up to 18 m) but Giganotosaurus with 20 m.

  • @Entomofauna think you need to read up on that, the max size estimate for giganotosaurus is 14m. Though theres as much evidence that spinosaurus was a scavenger as there is for it being an active predator and piscivore, think a milner admitted that herself. its certainly the case with baryonyx, though personally i dont like the idea of something as large being a scavenger; scavengers cover huge areas and the amount of mass it has combined doesnt seem to work.

  • @Entomofauna

Yeah no, spinosaurus was bigger than giganotosaurus.

  • @hardcorecrusher12 they still knows nothing.maybe there was bigger hunter, not discovered even half of the dinosaurus.and why tiranosaurus last appear on earth, because tirex was the most devoloped.

  • 1:55 It's "A Time Of Titans." "Land Of Giants" is a Waliking With Prehistoric Beasts episode.

  • I have this movie and it is soooooo good It is kinda sad though, how he dies in the end. The first time I saw it I was being a baby and I cried.

  • I loved the scene at :56 it was one of my favorite scenes in the walking with dinosaurs movies.

  • allosaurus is my favorite dinosaur ever! Great video!

  • The REAL king.

  • Allosaurus and Dilophosaurus are the coolest dinosaurs ever =D

  • Can anybody tell me where I can find the entire documentary cause this is the 20th video & Im sick & tired of finding just vidoes clips.

  • @Socoolscienceshow

Sure thing! The doco can be found in a few places, but one of them is easier than most. It's a little-known website called 'amazon.com' or some such thing. Sells the BBC 'Walking With Dinosaurs: Allosaurus' for about eight US dollars new, or under two US dollars used.

    Happy watching! ^_^

  • @AustralianFalcon thanks but what I ment was I wanted 2 watch it without lightening my wallet

  • @AustralianFalcon I want one! I recorded it when it came out and just watched it over and over again!

  • @AustralianFalcon i actually got mine for 25c (full packet with 2 disks, unopened) because my neighbor bought it on ebay for 10$. But, he wasnt thinking straight becuz he didnt have a dvd player or even a tv. so he had a yard sale and i bought it from him. lucky me :]

  • @BearsWithBombs

Hah, now THAT is the way to get it. Sounds like a clever guy, that one!

Nice find for you, though~ ^_^

  • @Socoolscienceshow you tube mate type walking with dinasaurs eps 1 part 1 or what ever you like :) you also do that with full movies XD and you get the full things

  • i hate meteor's that was the reason why they are all gone

  • Nice

  • what's the title of song?

  • i have this video on VHS

  • Dinosaurs ruled the earth for over 100 million years, with nearly no evolutionary changes. They truly were the pinacle of evolution, the mightiest species to have ever walked the planet.

  • @SSTTEEAALLTTHH dude they ruled waaaaaaaaayyyyy longer than 100million years , i mean big al's (allosaurus) skeleton was 120million yeras old

  • @killerNC17

I said 'FOR OVER 100 million years' and i didn't say 'ago' :)

  • @SSTTEEAALLTTHH more like 300million years ago :)

  • @killerNC17

Again, i never said 'ago'. I was referring to a lengt of time, not a given moment in time

  • jurassic i take it

  • @SSTTEEAALLTTHH " Dinosaurs ruled the earth for over 100 million years, with nearly no evolutionary changes."

    Let me guess... home schooled?

  • @YourBrainOnReligion

No, Biomedical Sciences at University Hasselt

  • @SSTTEEAALLTTHH Impressive. Regardless, you haven't taken much time to study dinosaur evolution.

  • @YourBrainOnReligion

Paleontology is not my area of expertise but most evolutionary biologists will agree with me when i say dinosaurs were one if the pinnacles of evolution. Off course species evolved, but i was referring to the general anatomical and genetic make-up of the superorder dinosaurs, which overall didn't change that much over the period they wandered the earth

  • wow, you just made the adventure of Big Al far more epic! Love the music you used!

  • cool.. no not cool amazing... no not amazing dramatic... i got amazingly cool drama lol

  • i like the music.

  • Nice, drama-rich music. Was that made up from the company that made this cool action-packed video? Thus would suit the T.Rex attack in Spielberg's Jurassic Park movie.

  • @ajvenigalla bbc

  • 100 million years before T. Rex and perfect. I am Allo-Fan!

  • Very nice vid :)

  • Nice vid but what is the name of that song

  • Epicon - Immediate Music

  • thank you!

  • i prefer Pokémon xD

  • Allosaurus were one of the most BADASS creatures that walked this earth. FUCK todays animals!!!!!! allosaurus and other carnivorous dinos were EPIC WIN

  • I think the Sauropods were cooler. Brachiosaurus was my favorite. ^_^

  • Allosaurus was one of the most fearsome predators no doubt

  • What about the Vordenosaurus?

  • whats the name of this song?

  • It one of my favourite TOO!! :)

  • Oooooh I love the movie about Big Al. It was very good made. My fav scene ist the hunt of an diplodocus on that dried salt lake!

  • ok i have no clue why you guys are being pussys to this guy, be more nice. great vid, my too fav dinos are the Allosaurus and the Tyrannosaurus Rex. their good hunters and are AWESOME!! lol but i mean SERIOUSLY PPL!!! be NICE!! im mean even i spell dino names wrong most of the time. sheesh!! how would you like it if you made a vid on the raptor and and you spelt it wrong and someone said you were a pussy!! huh!! BE-NICE!!!

  • VERY NICE VIDEO !!!

  • they ate baby dinos?

  • no that was a juvenile eating another allosaurus' babies

occasionally they would eat baby dinos but it depends on their age and size

  • Very epic! Good song to. You should make one about T-rex : )

  • imagen you were in that time

  • Very nice vid. Good choice of music.

  • hah the song fitz it perfectly ..

    itz awsoome

  • That slow motion is giving me a headache

  • is this amovie tell me if it is is it on dvd

  • it was a documentary (i think)

  • spongedan219's got it; this (the Walking With Dinosaurs series) is a documentary produced by the BBC, and it aired on television quite a few years ago. However, it is available for purchase on DVD, usually in a box set.

Most of the footage used in this video is from the Walking With Dinosaurs Special: The Ballad of Big Al documentary, a bit of a side-piece to the regular series. It's also available for purchase, with both of them on the BBC Shop website. They're both rather cheap, nowadays.

  • its not a movie. it was on tv named Big Al. It should be on amazon :D

  • ohh man, those beasts were fascinating!
