  • i make my own shit awesome

  • Hmm, gutting a crappy vinyl pad? Man I never thought of that! And here I was trying to figure out where I could find a cheap ps1 controller, when I've got a dozen of those crappy things!

  • Whyu can't you just play plastic over the old DDR pad?

  • I did this but i didnt use foam i had spacers it ended up insensitive and bad :(

  • "500 fricken buttons at once." There's only 9 buttons...

"I make my own shit." Everyone does...

  • @RekoChett Don't be so serious.

  • @guitarlover654 :O I didn't even remember this comment. Sorry if I offended any. :)

  • @RekoChett Lolol. xD You didn't.

  • @guitarlover654 Kay. :3

  • Duct tape is the greatest thing ever invented

  • how the hell do you solder to those black leads? I can't make a connection

  • or you could do what i did and find a pair of metal pads in someone trash that are practically full working condition

  • FREAKIN MAKE MY OWN SHIT!

  • 4:14 hmmhhmhahahahahaahaahahahehahaha!!!

  • Wow, ur a smart one! I'm Subscribing you!

  • looks good, but you do need to raise the outer sections to further emulate the arcade, otherwise you'll have the issue of having no idea where you're stepping and also run the risk of not raising your feet enough when playing at the arcade.

  • i would do this but im afraid that i would screw something up and lose mah controller XD

  • Why do people love the line "I make my own sh*t"? Is it because you're so immature "Ooohh!!! He said a cuss word hehe sh*t sh*t sh*t sh*t!!" -_-'

  • i understand most of it but when it comes to the foam and the wire , should the wire is placed below on the foam or above it ?

  • Comment removed

  • I wanna make one!! :D

  • I make my own $#!+. LOL

  • NOOBZ :D

  • WOW!!!

  • LOl I make my own shit!

  • DOES NOT WORK

DO NOT DO THIS IT IS A WASTE OF MONEY!!!!!

I DID EVERYTHING IN THIS VIDEO CORRECT AND IT STILL DOES NOT WORK

  • @paxromana2012 Maybe the sensors were too worn out?

  • please tell me that you try this out i love to know

  • If I were to make one, it would be half your size. XD My feet are about as small as Pluto. XD

  • too complicated, but well done!

  • I Would Pay U 2 Make it

  • and put a [iece of plexi glass on top.. like a sammich lol - Wood.. Mat.. Plexi glass.. screw it all together lol

  • couldnt i just get an old ddr pad.. a piece of wood the same size as the pad.. and staple the pad to the wood.. and it do the same tihng.. ?

  • @S0urSkittles

i just bought all the mats to make this thing. i wish i would have read your comment sooner lol. one of the few useful ones on youtube.

  • Like Balloon Shop? Check us out!--The Hall Boys

  • watch?v=jLv0R0GWI4I

  • cant i just put white tack on a really thin sheet OR thick thin crisp wood...

or use sticky tape... alotta sticky tape... onto a board?

i dont wannaa risk cutting and soldiering i dont have xp in it though

  • i'm dying to modify my crappy non-replaceable-because-they-don't-sell-it konami ddr hp2 mat, but this video was so irksome as it showed...a dude. seriously, wouldn't it be a lot more helpful if the video showed...the pad!? for example, as it was being constructed? so, for example, us non-engineers could see how it's done?

  • i just duck taped some thick layer on the top/ bottom and i actually DREW the graphics to make mine stronger

  • Thanks thats really cool

  • cant you just cut the back of the pad off and screw it to the wood??? so u dont have to cut, wire and all that stuff

  • lol that was my thought :P

  • lol seriously i see no point in doing all of that

  • saved him $150

i think that was the point

  • well good enough for me lol

  • big chance of the soft pad ripping off the wood as you play and also the buttons still wont register as well that way. also one of the major point was he had big feet and needed to have more distance between the arrows.

just screwing it to the wood only temporarily solves one problem when theres 3 major problems of bunching up, not registering well, and being too small.

  • oh yeah... lol

    BURST MY BUBBLE THEN! :P

  • Thanks...but I don't know how to solder :(

  • psh i went to lowes and checked ot there plexiglass....anything close to 36x36 was over 200$ and so i decided to mod this dudes mod... psh i just used the top of my old ddr pad and screwed it down ono the plywood...it works just as good :D and i also wired it better ^_^

  • bigger and harder.LOL!!!

  • @cobyvfd13 This kind of mentality is the reason why mankind is doomed -_-'

  • this is way too hard for me

  • i got all materials (except the controller)

can i just open the case and hook the button on the contacts? im making one for PC, so i can configure the buttons :D

can i use the "action" buttons (as X, Y, or 1, 2, etc.)?

  • This is an AWESOME mod.

I cant wait for gettting material for this =D

  • BRILLIANT!!!

    =D thanks for uploadin this!!!

  • Lol someone's a ho

  • ROFL

  • It may be just as well to sandwich the functional pad between the wood and plexi, but my pad seems to have some sensors that have migrated. They work well enough, but they aren't in the right places anymore. I also have big feet. So the dissection should hopefully allow for placing the sensors back in the corrct positions, as well as spacing them a little further apart so that I'm not tripping over my own feet trying to hit more complicated patterns. Hope this works out for us! :)

  • lol, I think it's great for people with big feet, but the normal DDR Pad is already too big for me xD And my feet size is 39 (Dutch/NL).

  • yay i agree with u

  • more hack vids

  • Cool!

    "I make my own shit!"

    hehe

Does anybody know does that work with Impact dance pad for PC?

  • yes, it does.

Here's a shortcut: just stick the pad between the plywood and the plexi, duct tape, and screw it down. This mod kinda sucks(as far as convenience goes, it's great....but as far as ripping it up arcade style, it's meh at best)... I don't find that doing the extra step of gutting the pad makes it any different.

  • very nice, thx alot, but, i think i'll put the start and back button connections into a box, because the way its set up annoys me. lulz. oh yeah, what am i suppose to do with the brain chip thing in the front after the arrows are done? i guess i can just put it in the box with the start and back buttons. also, i think sheet metal could be necessary, to make it look more professional. :D thx agian, this should be fun.

  • Wouldn't it be exactly the same if you just put wood under and plexi over a crappy DDR mat, and screwed it all together? =/

  • he said it was too SMALL. xD

  • lmao! an old chaep crappy ddr pad!

  • Great video :D

    Thanks for the upload.

    Now... on to home depot!

  • When i make mine, im going to make it look like the one at the arcade.

  • Great presentation!! Maybe I will need to make my own mat in the future since I too am tall and have large feet. haha =]
