Just because Steven signed a contract to do American Idol, Joe Perry freaked out and declared Steven officially kicked out of the band. I swear on my life that I will NEVER listen to Aerosmith again if Steven Tyler isn't the one singing. Pisses me off. Stop defending Ricky too, sure he's good, but HELL no he isn't an Aerosmithy type!

Nice! & I saw Aerosmith back in the mid 70's. It's true, alot of the live shows had to do with being severly wasted (not necessarily a good thing), but even when bands re-unite, it never catches that feeling of actually being in that time period. Question is, why does Ricky Laurent really want to be part of Aerosmith? It's like in the movie Rock Star when Mark's character leaves the band because he doesn't get enough creative input. If he joined, I bet the exact same thing would happen. I'm not saying that Joe and the crew are bad guys, I just think they're already set in their style and there really wouldn't be much outside of their style that they would really want to do.
