That Captain Fathom had a cool story line, ultra violent. Totally lame artistically but then again I watched Marvel stuff from that time frame and enjoyed it growing up, I would have watched Captain Fathom to watch shark woman kill people!

Good cartoon choice to illustrate the "minimal amount of work" obsevation; little actual animation and syncro-vox (the method that superimposes actor's lips on the charecters) make for much money-saving while still getting the finished product on the air!

I'd been trying for years to remember the name of this cartoon I loved as an 8yr old in the early 70s on ABC-TV here in Melbourne, Australia. I could recall it was something to do with sailors, and that it had this creepy style of real lips talking on flat faces... and here it is at last - "Captain Fathom"! Brings the memories right back, although we only had B&W TV in those days here! Gotta love it.
