Airport '75, is the best of the sequels (save Airplane, a parody). Action happens right away, whereas in Airport ('70), focus is the overall operation of an airport: a jet gets snowbound; Helen Hayes is found to be a stowaway; pilot (Dean Martin) is in love with attendant, Burt Lancaster and George Kennedy must keep things smooth. Eventually it does focus on the bomber with Helen Hayes' moment to shine - she won an Oscar for Sppting Actrss. However, Airport '75 is all action. Both are good.
This movie has NEVER been considered among the "worst sequels".......EVER.
When you hear people talk about Any of the "AIRPORT" movies--more times than not, they're either talking about "AIRPORT '75" or Referencing it somehow--(usually something about "Stewardess" Karen Black). But either way, "AIRPORT '75" was Never considered one of the "worst sequels".
i love this song and i think the movie was pretty decent also. i like the plot of a small private plane, with the pilot having a heart attack, crashing into the cockpit of a 747 and killing or badly wounding all of the pilots and thus forcing the stewardess to take over control. of course, this movie came out during the height of the womens lib movement, thus the inclusion of helen reddy as a singing nun, and karen black should have had top billing, as she was the star, rather than chuck heston.

Didn't it make more sense to ship the kidney to Linda Blair from LA to Washington instead of the other way around?
