I am a 3 year member of Mi Guk Kwan, this was the first time I am seeing this video,Beautiful job,you have confirmed my choice of tsdmgk was the Best choice..........
Well the TSD-ized version of this looks nicer than a lot of the Chinese Styles that are posted on YouTube. No one in martial arts said you couln't adapt weapons from multiple styles and make them your own. The Beauty here is its a nice blend. He's not trying to be WuShu, yet still incorporates certain characteristics of the Soft Chinese movements, which are also incorporated in some of the Higher Ranked Traditional Forms as well.
Well I appreciate your civil response. He definately could have done alot worse with the weapon. I can see he put some effort and competancy into its use.
What you never wonder why the guys in movies are always so awesome? It all about the FX man. If you're ever in a fight get a sound crew with you. Win ever time.
It's breath control used to focus and put more strengths into your movements. It's done in a lot of open hand martial arts. Not to be confused with "ki-yai"s or "ki-hap"s which are a "spirited yell" aimed to cause your opponent to flinch or pause in shock and maybe buy you a second more.
Breath control is made with nose breathing not with mouth!! If you've to fight with that breathing you wouldn't last 1 round!

and not "Tang Soo Do -ize" a weapon that is not
