@Hot80s You mean 18-wheelers, not 6-wheelers. I'd love to be able to take a trip cross country (long-haul vs short-trips) a few times to be alone w/my thoughts for a change. It won't happen but it'd be nice. Besides, it's great money & a good life if you tend to be a loner anyhow. There are some great drivers out there & you meet new people you'd otherwise not know. It's a life choice & many have done well with it. Up until the yr I wasn't able to drive anymore, I'd always had CBs in my vehicles

@PaisleyPlace no. i've driven big rigs for 15 years and a "18 wheeler" has a ten wheel tractor with a 8 wheel trailer. Clearly we can see this one in the video is a six wheeler, that would make it a 14 wheeler.

@Hot80s I can't see the video that well (eye disease w/vision probs on that scale & b/c of autoimmune diseases); I've only rode in and/or drove (wasn't licensed but I've been behind the wheel of several over the years b4 my sight went bad on me) rigs that were all 18-wheels... I hear they have automatic transmissions now. That's hard to believe. I don't think I'd trust driving one with an automatic transmission even if I were able to drive one today. I wouldn't trust the breaking w/full load.

@Hot80s I prefer the option of gearing down & braking from experience rather than trusting the braking system of an automatic, esp when traveling through the mountains... There aren't as many run-off roads available as there were years ago. At least if you lost the brakes back then you could gear down, hit the run-off and have the truck geared down enough not to damage the engine when hitting the dune of dirt to slow & stop the rig.

Estaria bueno que algun dia Junten los vehiculos de los 80's mas populares en una sola Pelicula como a KITT (Knight Rider) General Lee (Dukes of Hazzard) BJ MacKey, The A-Team, Starsky y Hutch, Automan, CHIPS, AIRWOLF (Lobo del Aire) y Street Hawk (La Moto Fantastica) Claro que habria que hacer una buena historia!:)
