I love the Yak races, always the favorite among the events.

The Khampa traditional horse festival is amazing to witness.

However it is not a Chinese festival or event and it is in the region of Eastern Tibet. Kham is located outside the TAR, and was the firt area to combat the Chinese invasion of Tibet in 1949. Today this region is about 97 % Tibetan.

It is also the area that was recently hit by a devastating earthquake and needs the worlds help,
